“I just figured we could get back in time to have dinner with the guys, that’s all. And why are you assuming I have a boyfriend?”
“You don’t?” My heart beat a bit faster at what seems the truth.
Tate blushes slightly. “No, I don’t. Why?”
I shrug. “I just figured you did. I mean you’re attractive, smart, successful. You aced your training. You seem like the total package, so I just assumed you’d be seeing someone.”
She smiles, her gaze locked onto mine. “I see.”
Tate hoists a bag of gear up higher onto her shoulder and starts trekking up the trail, her face held in a sexy look of determination.
God, she’s brilliant. Such a go-getter. Confident. Fearless. The kind of woman I wouldn’t mind taking to dinner… if we didn’t work together.
“You coming?” she looks back.
I blink away the remnants of my daydream. “Yeah, coming…”
And I’m dreaming of how to make you come, too.
