Elena entangled her fingers into the hair at the nap of Gabriel’s neck. He rested on her, but she knew it wasn’t his full weight. Somehow he was all around her, yet, he wasn’t crushing her. As her body relaxed, Gabriel’s body shifted.

“Are ye leavin’ me so soon?” she asked as she felt him slipping out of her.

“Nay,” he answered as he pushed back into her, driving himself deeper than before. She gasped and twitched under him, astonished that he was able to touch her inner self so easily.

Each thrust of his body against hers caused her to catch her breath. She knew it was coming, anticipated it even, yet it surprised her each time. Raking her fingernails over his shoulders as he moved only intensified his movements. She realized she was the one in control, not him. For each touch on his skin caused a new and different reaction.

Elena’s fingers ran down the course of his spine causing Gabriel’s body to shiver. The vibration pleased her in ways she never thought possible. As the hours passed, she found new ways to tease him and please him. By the time the sun rose, their bodies had been fused and welded together so often, she didn’t know where she ended, and he began. With no place for either of them to hide from one another, Elena gave herself to him completely. All the barriers Elena built up around her heart were pointless now.

Gabriel’s jaw flexed as his face grew red. Elena stared at him, studying his reactions as her body tingled. There wasn’t a spot on her that hadn’t been touched, caressed, or loved by Gabriel. She was his now, and there wasn’t a soul alive that could take that from her.

“Elena,” Gabriel pleaded as his fingers clenched the pillow by her head. An explosion of light shot across her eyes even more vibrant than the last time as she felt him release his seed in her. She could feel it seeping into her, touching every bit of her being. She found the sensation powerful and earth-shattering. There was no holding back the pleasure she felt as her body released the tension all at once.

“Gabe,” she cooed as her legs tightened around his waist, holding him in place until she no longer had the strength to hold him there. Dropping her legs, she gulped the cool morning air. It tasted salty and sweet on her tongue. Panting, Gabriel shifted to the empty space beside her. His hand on her hips forced her body to roll with him so as not to break the contact between them.

“I dinnae hurt ye, did I?” he asked, reaching a weary hand to her to brush away the sticky strand of hair from her face. She shook her head and giggled.

“Nay,” she said as she leaned closer to him and kissed him.

“Do ye realize this is the first night ye’ve spent wit’ me in this house?” he asked as his eyes remained locked on her. She bobbed her head.

“Aye,” she answered. “Best nae to make it a habit though, aye? What would the servants say?” Elena teased as she felt him slipping out of her body. The absence of him pained her more than the experience. She wished she could keep him there forever.

“Or yer sisters for that matter,” Gabriel said. Panic shot through Elena as she sat upright.

“My sisters,” she gasped as her eyes shifted to the window. The fresh light of dawn seeped through the window.

“What is it?” Gabriel asked as the panic caused all the pleasure to evaporate from Elena’s body.

“I have to get dressed.”

“What is the rush?” Gabriel wondered as Elena pulled the blanket off the bed and wrapped herself in it.

“They’ll be wantin’ breakfast,” she answered.

“That is what the servants are for. Daenae worry about yer family. They are taken care of, I promise.”

“Aye,” Elena said scrambling to the dressing curtain, dragging the blanket with her. “But the servants will be comin’ in any minute.”

The moment the words spilled from her lips, the door opened. Elena darted behind the curtain as fear replaced the panic. Gabriel’s laughter filled the room as the door quickly closed.

“Who was that?” Elena asked, tossing the blanket down and reaching for her dresser. She fumbled trying to find a new shift to put on.

“Emily,” Gabriel answered. “And daenae worry, she’s seen me before.”

“What do ye mean seen ye before? Have ye laid wit’ her?” Elena popped her head out from the dressing curtain, her eyes wide. The love that she swam in just moments ago was drained and dried.

“Of course nae,” Gabriel said. “But she’s seen me half naked as most of the servants here have. Are ye alright?”

“I need to get dressed and yer distractin’ me,” Elena said. Gabriel chuckled as he climbed off the bed. She watched as he gathered his clothes and dressed haphazardly.

“Will I see ye later, M’Lady?” he asked with a crooked grin.

“Aye, but only if ye leave,” she answered, shooing him away.

“I shall count the minutes,” he said as he bowed to her before exiting the room. Elena’s shoulders dropped with relief. Flashes of last night filled her mind allowing her a moment of peace and serenity but it was soon squashed by the rapping of knuckles on her door.

“Come in,” Elena answered as she finished tying up her bodice and piling her hair on top of her head.
