Sex had never felt like this before. With Phil she’d never known this out-of-her-mind urgency. Never this sharp pang of need as if she’d die if she didn’t join with Salim soon.

She lifted her hips, tilting against his erection, and it felt so good. Her breaths came in gasps and the fire in her blood concentrated where their bodies met.

Salim moved, his weight shifting to one side, and Rosanna felt his hand on her body. But instead of going straight to her breasts as she expected, those long fingers delved, down her abdomen and lower, following her slick heat to the cleft that hid the centre of her need.

Rosanna shuddered as electricity jolted through her, emanating from the press of his fingers against her clitoris. She snapped open eyes she hadn’t realised she’d closed to see Salim watching her, gaze intent, his mouth taut and his breathing as harsh as her own.

She opened her mouth to say she wanted more than his touch. She wanted all of him. But he stroked her again, circling that sensitive bud, rubbing harder then deeper, testing her slick channel. Her pelvis rose of its own volition, drawn by a power stronger than thought.

His gaze held her captive as he lavished her with words of encouragement, urging her to let go.

A cry choked off her breath as everything within Rosanna coalesced into a single shining burst of energy. It was shockingly sudden, so quick she scarcely believed it. She felt it rise and expand, her blood sizzling, flames licking her bones, and joy, stunning and incandescent, consumed her.

Her taut body collapsed, boneless and weightless, and her eyes drifted shut, her brain overloaded by pleasure.

Salim moved away and dimly she assumed he was getting protection. Rosanna stretched languidly, her body buzzing still. Soon he returned. She felt the bed dip beside her then furnace heat as satiny flesh slid against her.

‘Thank you,’ she whispered.

‘You’re very welcome.’

How could that warm, husky voice sound so arousing after her monumental climax? She opened her eyes and felt instantly guilty that while she lay relaxed and sated, Salim was on edge. She saw it in the bunched muscles of his shoulders and the razor-sharp lines of his jaw and cheekbones, as if his flesh had been scraped to the bone.

‘Salim.’

His name was magic on her lips as she reached for him. He settled between her legs, taking some of his weight on his arms. His erection felt impressive against her inner thigh but Rosanna didn’t feel nervous, despite a relative lack of experience. She wanted to give him pleasure such as he’d offered her.

She wrapped her arms around him, lifting her mouth to his.

‘Take me,’ she whispered against his lips. ‘I want to feel you come inside me.’

She might have lit a fuse on dynamite.

One moment Salim was holding himself back, as if concerned not to rush her. The next she heard and felt his deep groan of need as he kissed her hard, pressing her down into the pillows. He kneed her thighs wide then, with a single sure thrust, slipped in right to the heart of her.

Rosanna gasped, her breath failing as she struggled to absorb every delicious sensation. She’d never felt so full. So intimately connected to another. As if she hovered on the brink of some secret world, hitherto unknown.

‘Rosanna. Did I hurt you?’

She shook her head. ‘No.’

Her brain worked furiously, suddenly awake after that blissful lethargy. It told her these feelings were due to simple physics. That Salim was bigger, in all respects, than Phil. Plus he’d already given her an amazing orgasm, whereas, in the past, she’d struggled to climax. That had to explain why this union felt so profoundly different.

‘Open your eyes, Rosanna.’

She did and it felt as if she fell into black velvet. Could Salim’s eyes actually be so dark? Just looking at them excited her. As for breathing in his rich, addictive scent and feeling his body against hers...

‘I need to be sure you’re okay.’

A cracked laugh escaped her lips. ‘I’m more than okay. I’m... I don’t have the words.’ Because even this, just lying together, joined, felt utterly miraculous.

Still he didn’t move though that was what she craved. Rosanna lifted her legs, winding them over his hips, hugging him to her and feeling him slide even deeper.

She felt a quiver ripple through Salim, felt his muscles bunch, and a second later he withdrew and thrust again.

Rosanna’s head pressed back into pillowy softness as she arched up to him, his name a raw gasp on her lips. Her hands clutched, nails digging into cushioned muscle as she felt, impossibly, arousal stir anew. Tendrils of heat unfurled and twined through her, tightening at each erogenous zone.

Salim thrust again, deeper and more emphatic, and his hand closed around her breast. In the past when Phil had caressed her there it had sometimes been nice but often he’d squeezed too hard, too eager to read her body well as he sought his own relief. Salim’s touch wasn’t like that. She wanted more of it, more of everything.
