Chapter Eleven

Sergio didn’t understand what he did wrong. Jessie should be grateful he didn’t do more than threaten her snake of a coworker. Ted, in his opinion, ought to be buried six feet under the ground with only worms for company. They left the bookstore and Jessie looked mad as a bull. With a few long strides, Sergio easily caught up to her. He grabbed her elbow.

“Don’t walk away from me, Jessie. Let’s talk,” he urged.

Jessie flung his hand away, her eyes narrowed. “Couldn’t you see what you did back there was wrong?”

“You’re mine,” he said simply. “Anyone who gets between you and me is a dead man.”

“Ted’s harmless,” she blurted.

“We’ll continue this back home,” he said.

Jessie finally noticed they started to attract stares from some of the locals standing on the sidewalk. She threw her hands up in mock defeat. “Fine,” she told him sullenly.

The drive on the way back was a quiet one. Their evening plans included dinner at the newly opened Mexican restaurant in the town, maybe a movie, then a drive after that. Sergio had the perfect date all mapped up in his head. He even did some prior research by picking up a dating eBook or two. He certainly hadn’t anticipated Ted.

“You still mad at me?” he asked after killing the car’s engine.

She silently fumed at him. Jessie crossed her arms over her chest and avoided his gaze. Sergio knew a surefire way to get her attention. He turned to her and slid a hand across her cheek. She stared at him, defiant and stubborn. The look in her eyes didn’t fail to make his dick hard. He kissed her, closing his hand over her nape when she didn’t argue or resist.

Jessie fisted his shirt, kissing him ardently. His little minx even nipped at his lower lip, drawing blood. She pulled away. “That’s not fair,” she whispered. “You know I’m weak when it comes to you and your kisses.”

“You also know I don’t play by the book.” They exited the car and continued where they left off in the trailer. She probably had every intention of locking herself in the room all night. Nothing between them was resolved. He took her hand, tugged her close to him until her sweet body pressed up against his.

All the fight died out of her as he took her mouth again. Sergio slipped his hand under her shirt, touching heated skin. He pinched her left nipple under her bra, making her gasp.

Sergio tactically guided her toward the bedroom. He pushed Jessie to the bed, then he proceeded to take off her pants and underwear. He settled himself between her legs. Sergio blew at her folds, making her moan.

“Pretty pussy,” he said.

Sergio never got sick of watching her blush. He went to work, licking and sucking her until her hips lifted off the mattress. He held her legs in place. Sergio closed his mouth over her clit and bit down gently. Just like that, she unraveled before him. Jessie shuddered, her breasts rising and falling as she clutched the sheets.

Sergio slid off the bed and unbuckled his belt. Her dark eyes zoomed in on his cock. He knew she loved it when he instantly got hard for her. Right now, his prick felt like a steel-pipe between his legs. He stroked his shaft. The tip leaked pre-cum, marking her thighs and pussy lips as he climbed on top of her again.

Jessie leaned forward, kissing him on the mouth. Sergio angled his shaft into her entrance. He pushed all the way in, not stopping once until he was balls deep in her. Then he withdrew from the kiss to hear her groan.

Sergio fucked her, raw and rough, just the way they both wanted it tonight. He needed to remind her what she’d be missing out on if she chose another. Like Sergio would let Ted or anyone else get between them.

Her moans only served to excite him. Sergio’s balls tightened against his body. He pumped in and out of her, loving the slap of flesh on flesh. She always seemed like a perfect fit against his body, like she was made for him.

It took only for a few strokes to make her come. She sank her nails into his shoulders, crying out softly as she climaxed. The pressure building inside Sergio broke like a damn. With a growl, he emptied his balls. Pulling his softening prick out of her cunt, he slid next to her in bed.

“Forgive me?” he asked, turning his head to look at her.

Jessie bit on her lower lip, seeming undecided. “Sergio, you can’t always use sex as a weapon. Relationships don’t work like that.”

He brushed his fingers against her, relieved she gave them a squeeze. At least Jessie was no longer giving him the cold shoulder.

“I have a lot to learn,” he admitted.

God. If Carlo could see him now, he’d be disappointed. He’d call Sergioweakand sentimental, and sentiments could get a hitman killed. Before he got tangled up in this mess, in Jessie, Sergio was at the top of the food chain. He’d been Victor Rossi’s right-hand-man. Everyone inOakheartCity feared him, but now that he was with Jessie, he was beginning to see his old life seemed so empty. After a long and exhausting day, Sergio had gone home to no one.

“Sergio.” Jessie’s voice pulled him away from his current line of thought. She rested her head against his chest and he reached out, running his fingers through the fine silken strands of her hair.

“What is it?”

“When you came after Ted, I was scared.”
