I shove my hands under her clothes, not bothering to take everything off when I can just grope her like this and I throw off my coat, shoving my pants down before dragging my shaft along her slit to her ass.

She wriggles, her body slowly relaxing and I cup her tits, palming them until she starts panting, starting to lose herself. I encourage her shamelessness, cradling her ass, needing that tiny opening of hers soaked and she moans in an oncoming frenzy.

“That’s it, your body is ready to take some real fucking, isn’t it love?”

Her moans explode in my ears. “Yes...yes.”

With my hands on either side of her hips, I slide inside of her and she juts forward, grabbing the edge of the bed, her nails making kittenish scratches on the wood the more I rut her. Hell, she could have been taken away from me this night. Ripped out of my arms.

The sounds she makes are soft and throaty and I grunt, thrusting into her in short bursts that make her moan like the only thing on her mind is to come. This is what I love; having full access to her cunt and I bury myself in her until her legs start wobbling and her back arches then lowers.

She’s taking me but only barely, her insides wrestling with me until I break down all barriers and she cries out.

I smack her rougher than ever, pounding that sweet sugar trap until sweat forms on my brows and I grind my molars. Her head bobs in tune with my thrusts and she throws me a pleading look,

“P...please...”

“You have to work for it, love,” I snarl, digging my nails into her soft flesh. “You know what I want to hear.”

Her lids flutter, her wet mouth opening, “I love you, Cal. I love you m...more than ever.”

Aye, that is what I have been wanting to hear all along and I jerk upward, hitting a stashed away spot inside of her and she starts bucking, her lush warmth drenching and draining me, fucking me up harder than I am fucking her.

The shrieks she makes blend with the sound of sirens out on the street and blue and red lights flare into the bedroom. The tear stains on her cheeks have dried and that look in her eyes that I wanted gone has ebbed.

“Your feelings for me, they won’t ever change, will they?” she whispers, still with spread legs and her panties tangled around her ankles and she tears me apart like nobody ever has before, scarring me on the inside then healing me right up again.

“Nay,” I rasp and she licks her swollen lips.

“Tell me you will always love me, Cal. Please.”

With our bodies still attached, I promise. “I will always love you. Incessantly, constantly and desperately.”

Epilogue

Five years later-Melody

Its midnight and Callan and I are dancing in our garden. This is what wedo sometimes. As parents to two small girls it can be hard to find some alone time.

Not that we would want to change anything. We stayed in Fates Falls and Callan is the town’s chief detective while I work at an animal shelter together with my sister who lives up in the mountains with her family. Our life is good. Wholesome. And sometimes it makes us feel just as starry-eyed as the stars on the sky. They shine brightly but I’m no longer afraid of the dark.

It can’t touch me because Callan is always there, everywhere that I turn. After what happened he grew even more rabid and the months after he had killed his partner, he insisted that I never leave the house without him.

Despite that, I sneaked out a couple of times but stopped when he would immediately track me down with a tense look in his eyes and sweat shimmering on his forehead. He was too scared to have me out of his sight but then he slowly began loosening up. We both did.

Still, the thing about small towns is that Callan is sort of ever present. A couple of months ago when I was walking home, I accidentally got rammed by a bicyclist. It wasn’t a big deal, all I got was a bruise on my leg but I didn’t even get the chance to exchange names with the cyclist before my husband turned up, growling, showing his badge and he was probably two seconds away from pulling his gun.

He kept his promise to always love me and he has never stopped. Not for a minute. Not for a blink of an eye. He adores our family and we adore him.

Our girls are still too young for school but I have a feeling that when they do start, he’ll probably be right there with them, sitting on the school bench on their first day just to make sure that they get treated right.

Though nobody would dare to say a bad word or throw a dirty look at a Byrne anymore. Times have changed and ever since Callan took down “Romeo,” the whole town began looking at him in a different light. It’s as if the past got erased and he was no longer the anti-hero they all wanted gone. He was the hero that they desperately wanted to stay.

Finally they understood what kind of a man he is and now they all want him but he is all mine.

“I could not escape those eyes of yours,” he rasps, “so much smoke in them I could not breathe, love.”

I flush when I realize that I must’ve been musing some of it out loud but sometimes that happens around Callan. He gets to hear most of my inner thoughts, feel all of my emotions because that’s how meshed we are.
