She points to a Jeep close to the river. It looks as though there is a tent on top of it.

“Is that a tent on the top of your outfit?”

“Outfit?” she cocks her head at me

“Yeah, your outfit, you know. Your vehicle.”

“I have never heard a vehicle called an outfit before. I’ll have to add that to my random names for things database. Any other words I should know?”

I think for a minute. “How about the Interstate.”

“You mean, the highway?”

“No. that’s more like the back roads.”

“So, the freeway?”

“Yeah, the interstate.”

She shakes her head at me and laughs.

“Seems I have much to learn about Montana lingo”

“Just wait until I introduce you to Rocky Mountain Oysters.” I smirk at her.

“I love oysters.” she says, opening the door and stepping out.

I follow suit and walk around the side of her Jeep.

“This is quite the setup you have. Does it pop up from the roof rack?” I say in a hushed tone, as to not to wake the surrounding campers.

WHEN YOU'RE READY

“It does. Then I attach the ladder, and I’m good to go. Best tent a camper could ask for,” she says, keeping her voice low also.

“Convenient.”

“Very.”

“Well, I’ll come by Tuesday evening and let ya know the plan, if that works?”

“Sure does. G’Night Grayson.”

“Good night, Munchkin.”

I get in my car and drive back to the bar. That was really neat.

She drives from one location to the next and sets up camp with just the pop of the top. Maybe I should think about trading in my car for something a little more fun. Camping is generally out of the question if I want to take my car. For one, I can’t fit everything I would need, and two, a lot of the places I would like to go are far off the beaten path and my car would probably fall apart on those dirt roads.

As I climb the steps to my apartment, I see my faithful friend sleeping on the floor in front of the door.

“Hey, Sharkbait.” I say and his eyes flutter open. He lets out a yawn and begins to lazily stand.

“Rough night, dude?” I unlock the door and let us in. He immediately goes to the kitchen and sits.

“Oh right. Of course, you’re hungry.”
