“I should take advantage of your stupidity.”

“Could you even get it up right now?” I raised an eyebrow at him.

“Sit on it and find out.” He grabbed his junk and guffawed like he was the funniest guy on the planet.

“Nah, you’re not my type.” I blew him a kiss.

He really wasn’t. Tripp was a pretty boy with his perfect hair and preppy clothes. He was also bigger than me.

I liked my guys lean and submissive.

That wasn’t Tripp.

A vision of Jules flashed in my eyes. I took a swig of my drink, trying to chase away the flare of arousal that shot through me.

Fucking with him was fun, especially earlier in the apartment. Watching him squirm while I’d crowded him against the door, seeing him blush and glare up at me like he was picturing strangling me was hot.

Of all the people in the world, Ihadto be attracted to the one person I hated. The person who’d ruined my life.

Well, that wasn’t exactly true.

Jules hadn’t been responsible for our parents’ affair, but he was still an annoying nerd whose father had broken up my family.

We might not have been perfect or even happy, but at least I’d had both of my parents.

Now I had neither.

I gulped down the rest of my drink and crushed the cup in my hand as the alcohol coursed through me.

Fuck them.

Fuck Jules.

Fuck everyone.

JULES

Jules:where are you?

Jules:answer me asshole

Jules:are you coming home tonight

Jules:i need to use the van

Jules:i hate you so much

Jules:answer my fucking texts asswipe

Jules:i’m going to piss in your bed if you’re not back by the time I wake up

I read through the messages I’d sent Ash last night. I’d even tried calling him, but the asshole hadn’t answered and had just sent me to voice mail.

It was two in the afternoon, and school started the next day.

I’d eaten the leftover pizza from my delivery for breakfast, and I was starving. I didn’t really know how much groceries cost because I’d never had to buy them before, but I was guessing the fifty bucks in my bank account wasn’t going to go far, especially if I bought more takeout.
