Kayden lets out a low chuckle at the new friendship nickname. “I won’t. I’m staying for good. And I’m choosing to spend this life however I can with Sienna.”

Kayden loops an arm around me and tucks me beside him, pressing a delicate kiss on the top of my head to soothe my worries. I melt into him, allowing my feelings for him take the front again. We mingle with the other guests for twenty minutes more since Kayden has a lot of friends and family he wants to talk to. Everyone is relieved that he has returned, and I’m happy he has a good support system here that he can count on when he moves back.

Later, I feel Kayden’s arm snake around me from behind my back. He leans down to kiss my shoulder.

“Hey,” he whispers lazily. “You wanna get out of here?”

“You sure the married couple won’t mind?”

“Yeah. They’ve already left.”

“What?” I whip my head around, looking for Brent and Evans. And sure enough, they’re nowhere to be found. I guess they went back to their place to consummate their marriage.

“All right,” I say, nodding. “Let’s get out of here.”

I let Kayden guide me to the hotel that he’s staying at, a couple of blocks down from the beach. We walk together, hand in hand, every step heightening the anticipation for what’s to come.

When we’re back in his hotel room, he shuts the door behind him, then hoists me up and spins me around, my dress flowing around me like a carousel. I like seeing this new side of him, carefree and light spirited. A gale of laughter flies out of me at his excitement.

When he finally sets me down on my feet, his warm hands glide down my back, resting on my hips. He pinches the fabric of my dress like he wants to rip it off of me this instant. I want him to. But he’s a gentleman and likes to take things one step at a time, so his hands drift back up my chest, stopping at my shoulders.

“I really like you in this dress,” he says roughly, eyes molten as he toys with the strap of my dress. “But I really want to see how you look without it.”

“Then I guess you’ll have to help me out of it.”

Kayden chuckles, slowly removes the straps, allowing them to fall past my shoulders. Then he turns me, so my side is facing toward him, and pinches the zipper of my dress, tugging it down. I don’t know why, but I hold my breath in anticipation. It’s been too long since I’ve done this with him; with anybody, in fact.

When he reaches the end, I let the remaining fabric fall to the floor, and it pools at my feet. His eyes spark with lust as I remove the rest of my undergarments, standing in front of him fully nude with confidence. I’m even more toned now with the rigorous training regimen I’ve been on for the upcoming tryouts, and Kayden knows it, sucking in a heavy, aroused breath as his eyes roam over my defined, hard muscles.

As he undresses, his eyes never leave mine, as if he doesn’t want to miss seeing me get more turned on with every piece of clothing he discards. Desire explodes in my stomach as he kicks his clothes away and straightens back up, fully naked, his hard length, ready and willing for me.

Kayden smiles at me nervously, mirroring my own nerves. We’ve done this many times before and yet, in many ways, being here with him like this feels like the first time.

He lays me down on his huge, sprawling bed, his body shielding over mine. We don’t kiss. Instead we stare at each other with wonder as our hands explore each other’s bodies. My hands roam up the muscular planes of his back, desperate to feel every square inch of him. He strokes my hair, then drags his hand down from my face to the curve of my breasts.

Kayden brings one of my breasts to his mouth and the sensation of his tongue against my nipple hits me like a bolt of lightning. I whimper from the wave of pleasure washing over me and I feel him smile against my skin, guiding my hand down to his erection between my legs. We stroke each other like this for a while, teasing and feeling and reacquainting ourselves with each other, knowing full well that the journey is the best part of all.

After a while, I push Kayden over and loop my leg over him so I can straddle him. With another swift kiss, I pull back enough to look into his eyes.

“Condom?” I rasp.

Kayden nods, reaching down to grab his pants from the floor and pulling out the silver packet. Wow, that was convenient. Almost too convenient.

“Please tell me you weren’t hoping to sleep with any of the bridesmaids tonight,” I say, eyeing the condom with suspicion.

“Technically, you are a bridesmaid,” he says, amused.

“So you were hoping to sleep with me?”

“It was presumptuous of me, but . . .” His blush intensifies.

“I brought it. Just in case.”

“I would be mad at you if not for the fact that this is actually useful right now.”

He grins, aiming the condom packet at me. I tear it open with my teeth, and with a knowing smile ravaging my face, I slide down his legs and use my mouth to expertly sheathe the condom over him, rolling over his cock as tortuously slow as I can so I can watch him watch me.

The loud groan that rips from his mouth when I make the maneuver is the hottest, most heavenly thing to ever hit my ears.
