A polyamorous, witch-wolf fantasy. But a fairytale, nonetheless.

His expression relaxed slightly, as if my words had eased his concern.

“So, what happened with your parents?” I asked him.

He rolled his eyes, crawled up the bed, and leaned his back against the headboard. He seemed amazingly comfortable in my bed, and I had to admit, he looked like he belonged there.

“They were ecstatic.”

He didn’t sound happy about it.

“Both of them?” I couldn’t imagine his mother showing any strong emotion whatsoever.

“Well, you know Mom. But she was happy; I’m sure of it. Dad’s already busy creating the wedding venue in the forest. I convinced him to set it up as far away from the town as possible.”

“That’s great,” I said, bookmarking the spell with flower from the bedside vase.

I had such strange feelings entangled with what was about to happen today. In some ways, I was actually excited to be marrying Michael, but I was also terrified and angry. I didn’twantto be happy about our wedding when I’d already committed to mating with Xander and Kyle, but the connection I shared with Michael extended back to my childhood. That was a long time to try and shrug off now. And in doing this with Michael, I would be saving my two shifter mates. Hopefully.

“So, how long do we have until the ceremony?” I asked, sliding up to sit next to him.

“A couple of hours,” he said. “Dad told me to come tell you, so you could start getting ready, then I need to go back home to organize a few things and get ready myself.”

He twisted around and narrowed his eyes at me. “I forgot to ask. Did you find a spell that you think we can use?”

“Yes! I did.” I scurried over the mattress, reached for the book, and brought it back to show him the spell.

He stared down at the pages, his eyebrows furrowed. “This is... wow. Yes. This could actually work. This is great.”

“Good. Glad you agree.”

The spell was perfect. I’d kiss the high warlock’s cheek, move away from him so I wouldn’t be right beside him when he passed out, and a minute or two later, he would pass out.

“I’ve gotta get back.” Michael swung his legs off the bed, then turned around to face me. “But before I go...”

He pulled me into his arms and kissed me—hard, fast, and deep.

I didn’t hold back. I wrapped my arms around his neck, breathing in his scent and loving the taste of his tongue in my mouth. My whole body ached for Michael as much as it did for Xander and Kyle. I couldn’t wait till all four of us were together and safe.

Then, it would be no holds barred and my virginity would be a distant memory.

I hoped.

When we finally parted, my heart was pounding. My nipples had hardened and a flush washed over me as the reality of reacting in such a way to three men in two days hit me.

He kissed my nose with a tenderness that soothed my stretched nerves. “Don’t look so worried, gorgeous. It’s only the most important day of your life.”

I huffed out a laugh, before closing my eyes and pulling him down to kiss me once more.

All too soon he pulled away and walked to the door. “I’ll see you in a few hours, okay?”

I nodded. “I’ll be the one in the white dress.”

He chuckled, then his eyes darkened with warmth. “Can’t wait.”

He waved before he exited the room.

“Argh...” I fell onto my pillow and closed my eyes, my stomach churning.
