“By those idiots you call family? Don’t listen to them. They mean nothing.” Max kissed her forehead. “As for our ages, when there’s a chemistry like ours, who am I to argue with it? I’d be an idiot to throw that away.”

Mary just stared at him. Then she let out a squeal and hugged him tightly. Max couldn’t help but laugh at her actions.

“You were really that worried that I would reject you for that?”

“You have no idea how scared I was.” Mary drew back, still smiling. “I was worried about how quickly I felt strongly about this so quickly. I didn’t think it was possible.”

“Anything is possible.” Max kissed her. “Just like it’s possible for me to make you come very quickly plenty of times.”

“You’re very presumptuous about that, aren’t you?”

“Well, you do have to work for my forgiveness for running out on me without telling me.”

“Shouldn’t that be me trying to make you come plenty of times?”

Max smirked, reaching down to cup her backside.

“I like the sound of that. And I’ve got the day off tomorrow.”

“Oh, have you?”

“Yes, I do.”

Mary laughed. Max loved hearing her laugh. He could certainly get used to hearing that every day.

“We’d better move to my place.” Max managed to ease away from Mary, heading over to his pile of clothes. “Otherwise, I’m going to get into trouble for my current state.”

“I must say, I certainly like it.”

“You’re definitely gotten more confident now.”

Mary grinned.

“What can I say? Something about you makes me want to be bold.”

“Just as long as it’s with me, I can’t argue with that.” Max put on his shorts, picked up his t-shirt and sneakers, and made his way back to Mary. He took her hand as she fell into step beside him. “Shall we?”
