Chapter Seven

Josie

My heart is racing when I pull up to Theo’s house, and it feels like it’s in my throat instead of my chest. Tonight’s been absolutely magical so far, so when Theo suggested dragging the night out a little longer, of course I jumped at the chance.

But once I was alone in the car, the gravity of it all hit me again and my nerves flared. Was I really ready for this?

It was one thing to be out in public with them, but going back to his place…well, there’s little doubt in my mind what’s gonna happen next, and while I want it so badly I ache, there’s a part of me that’s terrified, for a multitude of reasons.

One of which is that it’s been years since anyone’s seen me naked. Hell, I can probably count on one hand the number of people who’ve seen me naked in my entire life, unless you include the various doctors and nurses who were present at my birth.

And I’m not the pretty little co-ed I was the last time I stripped down for someone. My sweet tooth and slowing metabolism have put more “curve” on me than I’m really happy with. And the two of them both look like they’ve put in their fair share of work at the gym. What if they’re put off by my extra rolls and squish?

Or even if they’re not, am I even any good in the sack? I’d been with one guy my entire life, and both of us had been virgins to start with. Sure, Toby might have told me how amazing I was in bed, but it’s not like he had the experience to know any better.

I take a deep breath to settle myself, and remind myself that I’m not the only one here. There’s two of them, and it’s not like I’m going to be the center of attention. I’ve seen the way those two kiss.

I wasn’t expectingthatto be such a turn-on. I feel like some kind of voyeur or something, but seeing the two of them together is just about the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.

Just thinking about it sets a fire under my skin and gives me the extra little push I need to get out of the car and start the march for the front door. As I’m knocking, I see Alex’s car pull up behind mine.

He steps out just as the door swings open, and my heart starts racing all over again, seeing them both.

They’re so similar, but so different. They’re both tall and buff as hell, although Theo’s a little bit larger overall, and they’re both tan with short hair and a hint of facial hair.

But that’s where the similarities end. Theo’s got sort of the All-American Boy look, blonde, blue-eyed, and ruggedly handsome, whereas Alex’s features are more dark and broody; hair that’s nearly black, and deep brown eyes that remind me of hot chocolate: warm and sweet.

Both of them are drop-dead sexy, and I can’t believe my luck.

Alex joins me at the front door and Theo ushers us inside.

“Can I get you guys anything to drink?” he asks as he closes the door behind us, “I’ve got sodas, beer, or I was thinking about maybe opening a bottle of wine.”

“I’ll have a glass if you’re opening,” Alex shrugs.

“Josie?” Theo turns to me.

“Sure, that sounds great.”

“Great. How would you guys feel about putting on a movie or something?” he suggests.

“Maybe we should introduce her toRobin Hood: Men in Tights,” Alex says with a grin.

“Yes,” Theo lights up, “Great idea. Josie, you in?”

“Sure.”

“I still can’t believe you’ve seen Princess Bride but haven’t seen Men in Tights,” Alex remarks, shaking his head, “Both classic Elwes comedy, plus Mel Brooks, Dom DeLuise-”

“Fucking love him!” Theo chimes in from the kitchen, making both of us laugh.

“And Patrick Stewart, who doesn’t seem to have aged since then despite this movie being nearly thirty years old,” Alex adds.

“He barely seems to have aged since the sixties, honestly. It’s kind of surreal.”

“Maybe certain people in Hollywood have found the fountain of youth or something,” he jokes, “Paul Rudd, Halle Berry, Elijah Wood…”

“Keanu,” I add, “Samuel L. Jackson.”
