I turned and wrapped my arms around Sully’s middle, hugging him tight. His entire body went stiff, but I didn’t care. I squeezed as hard as I could until he grunted.
“I take it you approve?”
“I love it.” I stepped back. “I promise I’ll try my hardest at this. Whatever you need, just tell me.”
“Good. I didn’t want to decorate too much as I thought you’d like to do that yourself. If you don’t like what’s already here, you can throw everything out and buy new furniture.”
“I can?”
“Yes, we want you to perform at your best, and for that to happen, you must be comfortable and satisfied with what we provide you.”
I bit my bottom lip and stared at the bed. I would need to shop for bed linens, and I wanted curtains. An area rug would be great and wall hangings.
“I’ll do my best.”
“I know you will. Let’s talk about your job.”
