“Serpents were on my turf?” He shouts.

I shake my head. “Looks like it. Don’t worry I’ll get your guns. Those fuckers don’t know who they are messing with.”

“It’s my problem too, Maverick. I'll send some men with you. Surely Viper is smart enough to not start this war.” Vlad’s voice grows cold as he clicks his tongue.

“I know they have a safe house outside New Orleans. It’s the closest to the drop off. We check there or at the shipping containers Viper owns in Brighton.”

“Early morning would be the best time. Maybe 4:00AM.” He offers.

“Yeah. I’m in.” I nod looking at my brothers.

“I’m sending some men to you. I'll call later.” Vlad hangs up and I address the room.

“4:00AM. Be ready to go.”

We took the van and a truck to the safe house instead of bikes. It’s quieter and we need the element of surprise on our side. No lights are on, but I see bikes parked outside in the yard. Four to be exact. The drop off location is a lengthy drive from their territory, so I would be willing to bet my left nut that a few stopped here for the night with the guns, while the others went on.

“Widow, you and Romeo go around back.” I point to the side of the shitty frame house. “Boston, you and Tank come with me and Dom.”

My boots crunch on the gravel as we walk up the drive. I pull my gun from the back of my jeans and step onto the porch. This place is literally in the middle of the fucking swamp.

“I don’t hear anything Prez….” Boston leans up to the window.

I nod at Dom to kick in the door. His black combat boot cracks the wood as it flies open. We rush to the front as Widow and Romeo come from the back. Two Serpents are sleeping on the couch, and jump up at the commotion, but it’s too late. Dom and Tank have their pistols raised, and Widow drags a guy from the back by his hair.

I flip on the light switch and narrow my eyes. “I am only going to ask this once before I let these two start dropping bullets. Where are my fucking guns?”

“Fuck off,” one hisses and spits at my boots.

My fist connects with his chin and blood spews on Dom’s shirt. I pin him against the wood paneling and grip him by the collar. “Last chance motherfucker.”

“Prez! I got em!” Boston yells from the back room. He walks into the living area with two duffle bags.

I nod my head for him to take them to the van. “Widow, you and Romeo take care of these three please.”

Widow grins and pulls out his knife. Widow is our enforcer and inflicting pain is his fucked up addiction.

“Leave them with a pulse please. Just make a point. Let’s get out of here. I’ll pull around the van,” I tell him as I follow Tank out the door.

A creek from the old wooden floor has us all on alert. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted a 9mm pointed in my direction. Before I can react, Tank is throwing himself in front of me. Dom turns without hesitation and blasts his ass before he can get off a shot.

“Where the fuck did he come from? I growl. Damn it. I wasn’t planning to leave a trail of bodies, but sometimes shit happens and you adapt.

“You good Maverick?” Dom walks over and stuffs the gun in his pants.

“Widow, put a bullet in them and get rid of them.” I take the dead guy's gun and head back to the door. “You and Romeo do what you gotta do. I don’t want the bodies found.”

“On it.” Widow calls out over his shoulder.

I make it halfway to the van when I hear the pop. Get fucked, Viper.
