“I love you too.” I disconnect the call, too sated and relaxed from that orgasm just moments ago, and there’s no way in hell I am going to continue reading that scene without him here. I’ll leave the conclusion of Paige, Noah, and Drew for tomorrow. I set my Kindle on the nightstand and plug my phone in before flicking off the lamp.

I wake up the next morning with a text from Ashley letting us know that school is closed today after a transformer blew nearby and we have no power. Surprise day off—I’ll take it.

I spend the morning cleaning the house to keep myself busy. Finn isn’t supposed to get in until after six sometime.

After a productive morning, I curl up on the couch in black yoga pants and a loose t-shirt. I pick up my Kindle and begin reading just where I had left off last night.

“Hot damn, woman, no wonder you were so turned on last night. That’s the kind of stuff you read these days?” Finn says, his hot breath against the back of my neck.

I jump, having been so captivated by the story that I didn’t even hear the front door open and Finn come in. I clutch my chest, and my Kindle falls to the ground with a thump. At this rate, I’m going to force him to buy me a new one.

I spin to find Finn standing there behind the couch adjusting his collar. “Damn, I feel like that Charlie Sheen gif where he is smoking.”

I jump off the couch and launch myself into his arms, happy to have him home. “What are you doing here? I thought you weren’t getting in till later?”

“I got an earlier flight. I just couldn’t wait to get home to my girl.”

Our bodies are flush against each other as I take his mouth, making up for the lost days of kisses from while he was away. I play with the hair on the back of his neck as I deepen the kiss. I get lost in his kiss. He ignites a fire in me that no one ever has been able even faintly to start. All of the blood rushes from my head to my lady bits.

I slide down his body, and my legs are like Jell-O as they touch back to the ground.

“That was quite a welcome home. But seriously? Those are the kinds of things you read these days? Wow, maybe we can have story time together.”

“Oh, you’re being ridiculous. It’s not that hot.” But even I don’t believe that lie.

I go to swat at his chest, needing the distance before I can push him down on the couch and have my way with him. I give one last glance over my shoulder as I make my way into the kitchen with a little extra sway to my hips, hoping he follows.

I follow Lauren into the kitchen and lean against the doorframe as I watch her make her way around the kitchen. As she bends over into the fridge, I tilt my head to the side and admire the way her black yoga pants cling to her round ass. I run my hand over my jaw as I remember the dirty things we talked about last night during our phone sexcapades.

When she is at the cabinet, reaching up for a glass, a sliver of skin shows on her lower back and I can’t hold back anymore. I close the distance between us. I cage her in with my arms planted on either side of her, my palms flat on the counter.

Her breath hitches as I brush soft kisses along the back of her neck.

“Dance with me,” I whisper in her ear.

“What?” She spins in my arms.

“I said dance with me.” The corner of my mouth turns upward in a half grin.

“Do you make it a habit of dancing in kitchens with women?”

“Only the ones I’m madly in love with. It’s also been two days since I’ve had you in my arms, so now I’m going to take every chance I can to do so.” Even though we spoke on the phone, two days was too long for me to be away from her. I brush my knuckles against the soft skin on her cheek, and she leans into my touch. “So, what do you say, Lo. Dance with me?”

She nods ever so slightly, but her eyes are saying everything that her mouth isn’t.

“Alexa, play ‘Unchained Melody’ by the Righteous Brothers.” I never break our eye contact. Her eyes widen when she realizes my song choice.

She cranes her neck back, unable to hide her smile. “Are you about to Swayze me?”

I lean closer and press my lips to hers. “Always.” I can feel her smile against my lips as I claim them once more as the familiar tune begins to play.

I take her hand and lead her away from the counter, disregarding the glass and lemonade pitcher, and spin her just like I had at her brother’s wedding. We begin to sway side to side just as we had that very night. Lauren rests her head on my chest as I run my thumb along our linked fingers.

I begin to sing her the lyrics softly, and she settles farther against me. I want us even closer, so as the music gets louder, I spin her in my arms so that her back is pressed up against my front. Her hips move side to side along with mine. Our arms are intertwined around her front. This is my definition of perfection, having Lauren Reynolds encompassed in my arms. This is my life now.

She inhales sharply as I drag my nose along the spot where her neck meets her shoulder. Her scent is intoxicating. She leans her head to the side, giving me better access to her neck. As much as I love when she wears her hair down, I love it even more when she has her hair up in one of those messy bun things. She shivers as I continue my journey of kisses up to her ear. I pull her earlobe between my teeth, and she lets out a quiet moan. She presses her ass against my groin, and I elicit a groan of my own.

I travel my hands down her sides, committing every curve to memory. My cock grows harder with each sway of her hips.
