“Yes, please.”
“Her condition might sway your decision, but in the meantime, I suggest working with Wells and getting the proper documentation so you can successfully obtain her.”
“Thank you, and Wells, I would appreciate any help with it.”
“Of course, Kitten.”
I didn’t miss how his words dripped with lust, his eyes speaking of familiarity with her body, adding another man.
“Is that all you need to discuss, Atticus?” Sax spoke up next to me, giving Loren fuck me eyes. I blamed the sexual tension coursing through the room and my memory of her rubbing against me in the club for the following statement, but in reality, I wanted to stir the pot. I wanted to verify if these men were as onboard as they appeared about dating Loren together, especially if they knew everything. Loren claimed honesty, but how far did that extend? So, sitting back, I draped my arms over the chair and waited a few seconds, building anticipation before dropping the bomb.
“Just curious, Mrs. Carter, since you’ve been with every man around this table, who’s the best?”
Loren’s face went white, and uproars sounded around the table. I wasn’t sure if they were at her or me, but I sat back, smiling. Maybe now, the seductive dynamite would explode on its own, taking out casualties along the way—my heart included.
