“Ooh, let's do brunch! I'll find a sitter. If I take one of those donuts, my mom might even offer to watch her overnight!”

“Go for it. Donut for a good cause! Text the girls then, and let's meet up somewhere.”

“Deal,” she agreed, pulling out her phone with her other hand. I watched as she took a giant bite out of the donut.

“I thought that was for your mother?”

“Nah, I decided I needed it more. She'll watch her no matter what.”

“You could've just asked for a donut, bish!”

“It's more fun taking it.”

“Oh, is that your sage wisdom for today?”

“Yep!”

We exited the place, and I had a massive smile on my face. I spotted Monroe and Wells leaning against her SUV as we made our way over.

“I know they're yours, but man, what would it take to let me be in the middle of that hottie sandwich?”

“More than a donut,” I swooned, chuckling. They really did paint a tempting picture.

The guys smiled at us, looking at us curiously as we walked up laughing. My face was beet red, but it had been fun, and I didn't even care that the couple in front of me had turned and said, “I'll pray for you,” before walking out. People needed to mind their own business.

“I'm not sure I want to ask what's so funny,” Monroe said as we got into the car.

“Life,” Nat replied, giving me a wink.

“For some reason, I don't believe you,” Wells replied, giving me a smug smile, his eyes narrowing at my red cheeks. Miming, I zipped my lips, refusing to say anything to those two. I hadn't missed the fact I hadn't denied them being my guys or that I wanted to be between them. Seemed I was beginning to warm up to the idea and accept it.

We pulled up to the shop a few minutes later, and I steeled myself for what awaited me inside. Giving Nat a quick hug, the three of us got out and headed into Ignite Ink. Cassandra was behind the desk as usual, and I began to wonder if she ever got a day off.

“Hello, Darlin’. What do you have here today?”

I knew she didn't mean the donuts, so I introduced her to the two pieces of eye candy behind me. They were polite and flirted with the older lady, endearing themselves to me a little more. Even Mr. Surly had a smile for Cassandra.

“I bought some donuts for everyone. Want to grab one before Nicco tries to eat them all?”

“I knew you were my favorite!” She beamed, taking a napkin and pulling out a glazed chocolate donut.

Nicco walked around the corner just as she took it. He grinned before he started acting affronted by Cassie. I couldn't help but love their flirty dynamic. “Hey, I thought those were for me? Cassie, are you stealing my girl and my donuts? I thought we were friends?”

“She's prettier than you, boss. Plus, I think you might have competition with Thing 1 and Thing 2.”

The two behind me sputtered at her reference, and when I peeked at them behind me, I noticed how red their faces were. Nicco took the donuts from me, acting like he would hoard them all, and had us follow him back to his private studio. I hadn't realized he had his own, so I looked around the room in awe as he spoke with Monroe and Wells.

“Do you guys have any ideas on what you want?”

“We think so, but it wouldn't hurt to look at your portfolio.”

“Absolutely. Let me know if you have any questions, and I'll tell you what I can and can't do.”

“Sounds good. Here, I think this coffee is yours.”

“Oh, thanks, man.”

“No problem. Thanks for letting us crash. I'm sure you wanted to spend time alone with Lo, but something about watching her get a tattoo sounded like the perfect way to celebrate.”
