"Yeah," she teased, "and I approve. I'd been holding out hope for Attie, but he's a bit of a boring bear. Nicco's great, though. I like this a lot, actually."

Hugging her, I figured I'd already broken most of my boundaries at this point. What was one more hug? When we pulled back, she had a sheepish look on her face now.

"Um, did Jude talk to you about us hanging out tonight?"

"Hmm, it seems you already know he's living with me. I'm guessing you guys have kept talking since our lunch a week ago?"

"Yeah. We're just friends, though," she quickly added. "We oddly have a lot in common."

Thinking about that, I realized, based on what I knew of his past, it was sadly accurate. I couldn't help but be glad they'd met each other, though. Another line of my boundaries was erased, and I realized I was practically boundary-less at this point. Again, I should've been more concerned about it, but I wasn't.

"What's this about hanging out?" I asked, stepping back now we weren't talking about the session.

"Oh, well, he asked if I wanted to maybe hang out tonight. I assumed he checked with you. Is that not okay?"

I thought for a moment and knew we hadn't had a conversation yet on the rules, something I would need to correct. It wasn't a bad thing, but it was tricky with her being my client. Of course, Jude didn't know that since we'd introduce her as a friend. When I put it into their perspective, I couldn't fault all the parties involved. They didn't know the difficulty it created for me, and at this point, I'd already entered the bubble, might as well erase that last line.

"Of course, it's fine. We haven't had a conversation as everything happened so quickly the other night. I'm supposed to have kickboxing tonight, or at least, I think I do. I'll just need to check. I'm sorry, my mind is all over the place. What's the plan?" I laughed when I realized I was oversharing and not making sense.

"I think that's where I come in, beautiful," Nicco offered, walking over to us again. Smiling at him, I wanted to kiss him.

"So, how is it that you're dating Loren?" Imogen challenged him. "Out of all the women in the city, you had to pick my therapist?" she teased, already knowing the answer. I could see their bond in how they regarded one another.

"To be fair, squirt, I didn't know she was your therapist until this afternoon when Sax asked me to pick you up, so there." He stuck his tongue out of her, and it was fun to watch their relationship. "I even got upset with Loren when I realized she knew Sax and Mas. I thought she was playing me or something," Nicco confessed.

"Yeah, he was a real turd, but he made up for it." I grinned, remembering the mind-blowing orgasm he'd given me on his desk. The heated look he returned told me he was replaying the same thing.

"Okay, gross," squealed Imogen, causing us both to break our heated look.

Embarrassment heated my cheeks as I sat down at my desk, needing to finish up my notes and trying to distract myself from the desire. Checking my phone, I sent Jude a text while the other two joked with one another.

ME:Hey, I heard we have a guest tonight?

Jude:Um, yeah. Sorry, I forgot to clear it with you. Is it okay?

ME:Yes, it's okay. I think we should probably sit down, though, and go over some guidelines just for the future. I'm not trying to control you or anything, but some reference for us both would be helpful. It's my first time being a foster mom, after all.

Jude: You're already better at it than any I've had before.

Jude:I'm cool with talking about things. It probably helps my anxiety, too, so I know what I can and can't do.

ME: Ah, look at us having our first little family conversation.

Jude:Gag.

Jude:Actually, it was nice. I liked it.

Jude:This I mean.

Jude: Crap, now I sound like a weirdo.

ME:No, you don't. I get what you mean.

ME:So are there plans made, or do we need to sort them for this hang-out thing?

Jude:Plans? Umm… What kind of plans?

ME:Food? Drinks? Activity?
