He chuckles and says, “You need to pick better boyfriends.”
I giggle and say, “Nobody’s ever… um, I was a virgin until this morning Daddy.”
His eyes open wide and he says, “Oh my God. I can’t believe I did this.”
I shake my head and run up to him. I’m naked. He has a towel around him. “We did it,” I say, “and there’s nothing wrong. You’re divorced and I’m eighteen.”
He sighs and says, “Well, nobody would ever think that way about it.”
I think about another story about him online. “You stood up for Mr. Fairfield when people were protesting in front of his house. You stood guard to keep his family safe. You did that even though people threatened you. You did that and when the truth came out, people were lining up to apologize. You did that because what other people think doesn’t matter, just what’s right.” I hold him tightly. “And this is right.”
He sighs but his hands slowly wrap around me. “And I want more of it.”
“I don’t know,” he says.
“If you think you’re going to get away with saying you were gonna go down on me and then not do it, you’ve got another thing coming.”
He laughs and then grows serious. “Okay. Here’s the deal. I can’t do this if it hurts you. Seven days. Seven days and you’ll be my secret girlfriend and I’ll be your secret boyfriend. After that, we’ll talk it over and see if it needs to stop. Deal?”
I’m pretty sure nobody on Earth has ever come up with a better deal or ever will in the future. “Yes, Daddy,” I say. I can’t believe it but I feel him growing, the towel pressing against me. He’ll have no trouble keeping up with eighteen-year-old me. I slide my hand down and caress.
“Again?” he asks.
“It’s still day one, Daddy,” I say with a giggle.
