Chapter Ten

Giggling, Brett cupped Todd’s cheek. “Is he safewording until Eli comes to see him?”

“No, High slave. I believe he is simply stalling until his companion is with him.”

He was blown away, so much information that he didn’t know how to sort through it. The professional, Brett, took charge of it. “Go back and begin with him, Todd. His companion isn’t sure if he wants to join.”

“Thank you, High slave.”

As he ran off, tight ass cheeks barely jiggling, Eli watched while wiping the corners of his mouth. “Damn.”

“We have the finest men you will likely ever see congregated in one place.”

“I believe you.”

Then it occurred to him what Todd had said. “Wait,” he whispered as he turned to Brett. “Some things have to be unloaded here. Lee is waiting for me? And he’s…he’s the slave?”

Brett took his arm again and walked him in the completely opposite corridor. “There are things you don’t know about Lee. He’s not the tough senator here. He lets his hair down, so to speak. A lot of men do when they come here.

“It’s common for men, and women too, that have to be in control in their daily lives to become submissive in the bedroom, or playroom, whatever. Lee, though…I think he is a submissive all the time.”

Eli didn’t have to ask. He knew exactly what Brett was talking about. “He’s been pushed into so much by his family and all the politics they’ve been involved with all along.”

“Exactly. He’s not my favorite person, being he won’t fight against that shit, but I don’t hate him like I hate some of them.”

They started down the corridor and Eli was repulsed as he saw wooden doors, rounded at the top to fit the arches of the cells. In the middle was a square cut, and there were bars in that hole. “What the hell?”

“They’re rooms, Eli. They used to be very cold and hollow cells when this place was run by total sadists. They took men and women by force, keeping them here against their will. Now, though, we get people to come here and work for decent wages while they are given a place to live, schooling, if needed, great healthcare.”

“They used to keep people in these?”

“Yes, locked them in and everything. It was bad. Now, though, it’s a place where people can go to get away from the hustle of everyday life. My cousin took it over, but investors keep it afloat. He’s the one that asked me to run it after the last High Master and High slave chose to leave and start their life away from here.”

They got to the room at the end of the corridor and Eli saw a few men sitting around on plush sofas, reading, or watching a show on the big television that hung on the wall.

There was a small kitchenette, shelves of books, baskets of fruits and flowers in a couple of tall vases. “It’s like you said, a dorm common room. Mine wasn’t this nice.”

“We have three of these, and two of the other rooms like this are school rooms, where the men can further their education.”

Eli was in awe of the place. “So, not so seedy as I first thought.”

“No.”

Brett led him to an empty cell that was furnished with a simple bed, and they each sat on the edge of it. The walls were stone, as was the entire basement area, and it felt old, as in ancient.

“I don’t want you to think you have to uncover this. It’s not some horrible place where men are used and broken. It’s a place where men become a little less broken, I’d like to think.”

“Only men?”

“There’s another place similar to this that houses women and men both. This is just for gay men to enjoy. There are so many that have to be hidden.”

“Still, in 2022, and still, people are hiding.” Eli hated it, and before meeting Lee, and paying closer attention to what people on Lee’s side of the aisle spoke about, he thought it wasn’t a big thing any longer. He’d been so foolish. “There is another reason you’re bringing me on this tour and telling me all this, right?”

“You’re a smart one,” Brett said, his soft eyes smiling even before his pretty full lips did. “Um, Lee is different. He’s searching. I think he likes you, sees something in you that isn’t what he can find here. Maybe you can change him.”

“Change him? No. That’s not happening. He’s made it clear to me that I’m nothing to him but an assistant now. It was supposed to be more, have a regular fuck so he wouldn’t have to chance going to clubs or hiring men, but he gave up on that pretty quickly.”

“Sure,” Brett said. “Sure, he did.”
