“I’ll pay you well.” He promised, “does ten grand sound good?”
I practically choked, not believing my ears, “what? Ten grand!?”
His eyebrows furrowed slightly, looking confused, “is that not enough? How about fifteen? Twenty? Money isn’t an issue, and I’ll make sure to provide for your attire because you can’t be around me looking like… a waitress.”
I should’ve been offended, but all I could think about was the money he was dishing out. I couldn’t understand what kind of man could throw money out like it was nothing. Who exactly is he?
“I’m going to be upfront about something first though.” His tone became much darker, his jaw tightening, “I am a dangerous man, and I work for a dangerous group. I promise you will be protected and nobody will dare come after you, but there is a possibility that something might happen. Also, I’m what you would call a Dominant daddy, and even though we will be in a fake relationship, I still need to act in front of them like you were my little. Is this something you would be okay with doing?”
I knew I was crazy for even considering it, but I couldn’t help but think of what that kind of money could do for me. I wasn’t in debt or anything, but I could put that money in savings and I wouldn’t need to worry if something were to happen.
Even if he is dangerous…
“Make it fifty grand and you have a deal,” I responded, wondering if that would make him change his mind.
He didn’t though, and a twinkle appeared in his eyes as he held out his hand to me, “you have a deal, Mila. My name is Liam and we have much more to discuss. Let’s go somewhere private.”
Why did I feel like I had just sold myself to the devil?
