Seb lowers his lips to her ear and whispers something that makes her relax a little before he grabs her by the throat and kisses her as if they’re the only two in the room.
I shamelessly watch them, pain ripping through my chest, making each breath I’m taking hard work.
I had that.
And I fucked it up.
I don’t even know why I’m surprised.
“Shit,” I hiss, falling back onto the sofa and dropping my head into my hands.
“Here,” Nico says, placing a bottle of Jack and a glass in front of me.
“This the fucking best you could do?” I scoff, eyeing the evil amber liquid with distaste.
“Do you deserve anything better?”
“Stop being a dick,” Calli interrupts. “I’m sure there’s more to this than we’re aware of.” She passes me a bottle of Grey Goose and drops down beside me. Her compassion and faith in me despite the fact that I’ve just screwed over one of her closest friends floors me.
“Thanks, Baby C.”
“Don’t make me regret it,” she warns, shooting a glance up at the others.
“She’s right,” Toby agrees, dropping onto the sofa opposite. “Tell us everything, and then we’ll decide if we want to help you get her back or not.”
