My skin burns red hot. The sudden need to shed all my clothes to cool down consumes me, and I reach for the button on my school shirt.

“Let me,” a deep voice growls, knocking my hands out of the way.

I blink up at him, confusion creasing my brows when I find Theo staring down at me.

“Oh God,” I moan, knowing that I shouldn’t let him near me again, but equally confused as to how he got here. “Yes,” I cry out when he grinds down harder against my clit, both his hands grasping my tits and squeezing in the most incredible way.

“More,” I beg. “I need—”

“I know what you need, Hellcat.” This time, it’s his voice, too.

My back arches into his touch, needing more of him.

“Oh God. Yes. More. Yes,” I cry, my release surging forward like a tsunami. “Theo, yes,” I scream as my release slams into me.

He stills above me as I ride out the high, which is fucking mind-blowing, and I’m vaguely aware of a crash on the other side of the room.

But when I look over, nothing makes sense.

“T-Theo?” I stutter, seeing him standing in the doorway with his gun raised, directed right at us.

B-but how is he there if he just got me off?

My head spins as I come down from my high, confusion warring through my body.

“I said, get the fuck off my wife.” Theo’s voice is hard and cold in a way I’ve never experienced before, and it sends a wave of pure fear through me.

Ripping my eyes from him, I stare up at the body above me.

Dax.

Fuck.

Fuck, what have I done?

“Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Theo’s ice-cold voice cuts through the loud bass booming behind him, and I scream as the pop of the gun in his hand sounds out.

“Theo, no.”

I move on instinct, twisting from beneath Dax in my need to protect him from my psychotic husband.

“Emmie,” Theo booms, rushing forward, all the blood drained from his face.

It’s the last thing I remember before I finally get the oblivion I was so desperate for.
