Jake blushed, a bit embarrassed that he had assumed she was offering him sex. “I apologize. I did not mean to…”
“Please, sir, do not worry. We get that a lot here because, well, it is Temptations.”
“No specific area, just a general massage is fine.”
Although the session started awkwardly, once Cadyna’s hands touched Jake’s back, they began to work their magic, seemingly knowing when to apply pressure or gently glide over his skin. Jake found himself drifting into a state of bliss as the stress left him.
“My, you are tense here!” Cadyna whispered as she dug her thumbs and forefingers into his right shoulder blade.
“Sorry, I have a lot on my mind.” Whether it was due to his relaxed state, or just a need to talk to someone outside of the situation, Jake continued. “My fiancé left me at the altar a few days ago. I thought I would just have angry sex all week here, but every time a situation arose, I just felt sick. That is, until last night.”
“What happened last night?” Cadyna said softly as she began working on his arms.
“Last night I met someone who broke through that and we ended up together. It felt good like she cared for me. Then this morning, she ran away before I woke up like she was ashamed. I don’t want a one-night stand. But she doesn’t seem to want anything long-term. Even if she did, she and I are worlds apart both physically and lifestyle.”
“Ahhh,” Cadyna acknowledged in a thick island accent that implied wisdom beyond her years. “This seems to be a common occurrence here at Temptations.” The way she said “Temptations” caused a stirring to rocket through Jake’s spine. “I just had another client who felt the same way about last night. She panicked and left though she really wanted to stay.”
Jake thought for a moment.Could that be Alice?He shrugged off the idea as Cadyna began working on his legs.It would be too much of a coincidence for her last client to be Alice.Jake surmised quite a few people were hooking up at the resort. Or maybe Cadyna was just saying something to soothe his confusion. Either way, it made him feel a little more hopeful that Alice left for reasons other than rejecting Jake. Jake let his mind drift into oblivion as Cadyna’s hands reassured him.
