So, no more cigarettes for me.
When Conleigh walked out of the strip club with her check in one hand and a painting in the other, I pushed off the brick wall and grabbed the painting from her, then took her hand and led her to her car.
“Next time when I need to go somewhere, I will interrupt church.” She said as she looked up at me. “But you have to deal with Powers when that happens, and he gets mad.”
“Don’t give a fuck.” I told her as I wrapped my hand around a handful of hair and jerked her lips to mine.
“Don’t be late for dinner. I’m heading to pick Collins up from school.” She pressed a soft kiss to my lips, grabbed the painting, placed it in her passenger seat, then I stood there like a dumbass as I watched her drive away.
The smile that transformed my face surely would have caused my jaw to break.
Don’t be late for dinner.
I made a vow right then and there to never be late for dinner with my two ladies.
That night, after Collins went to bed, I grabbed Conleigh’s hand and pulled her outside to the back porch.
She looked at me with narrowed eyes until her eyes landed on something that I had delivered earlier today.
How she hadn’t seen it until now was beyond me.
Crazy woman.
“Where did this come from?” She asked as she gestured to the hot tub.
“Figured it would be something that we could enjoy. Got it for a steal. Since y’all are mine and I am moving in with y’all, figured this would be okay. Plus, when Collins has a stressful day, she can come out here and relax.”
“I don’t know how it’s possible for me to love you even more than I already do,” she said as she started to strip her clothes from her body.
Grinning, I followed suit, then climbed into the hot tub, holding my hand out to help her in.
And the moment she had her ass sitting on my lap, I didn’t even try to fight the erection I was now sporting.
And my woman?
Well, my woman decided that she wasn’t going to fight the heat that I could still feel between her legs, either.
So that was how the water splashed out of the hot tub. Whoops.
Sitting there in the hot tub underneath a bed of stars while running my roughened hands up and down her thighs in the hot tub, I knew at that moment that no matter what, I never wanted to be anywhere that she wasn’t.

“I need my B’s and C’s.” I was sitting there in the clubhouse, the ring I bought was burning a hole in my pocket.
Because after last night, I had no god damn clue as to why I was waiting for the right time to make her officially and legally mine.
Because any moment with her is the right time, all I need for her to do is to keep smiling at me, and I would always be right as rain, even if she said no.
Powers actually looked confused when he asked, “You’re B’s and C’s? What the hell does that mean?”
That was when I felt those cupid-bow-shaped lips of Conleigh’s smile against my skin, causing goosebumps to rise along my neck.
“Yes, Uncle Powers. His B’s and C’s.”
It still wasn’t clicking in his brain, which was right comical, “And just what does that mean?”
Collins put her small hand on her hip and looked at him like he was stupid, which caused me to bring my fist up to my mouth and hide the smile that formed.
