“You didn’t push me into this. I’m a grown woman. I fell for Raymond’s charms,” she whispered as she swallowed hard.

I was lusting over the two of you, and couldn’t take your disinterest in me. God, what is he saying to me? Their bed? Things are changing? I’m so confused.

Jett touched her arm and gently caressed it. He stared into her eyes.

“Let’s take care of these bruises. We’ll talk more later.” He reached for the hem of her shirt again.

“I’ll do it.” She stuttered then took a step back. She turned around, took a deep breath, and pulled the T-shirt up over her head. She folded it and then tossed it onto the sitting chair near the bedside table. She thought she heard their intake of breath, but she wasn’t going to turn around and face them. She was shaking, her breasts felt full, and her nipples were hard as could be. She was embarrassed at how turned on she was. Their orders and Jett’s statement about her being in their bed on a daily basis sent her mind into a frenzy of erotic thoughts. Did they want her in every sense of the way because they cared, or were they keeping her close? She couldn’t help but think of the saying, “Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.”

She got onto the bed and then felt both men move into position. Flynn straddled her legs, being sure not to apply too much pressure to her thighs.

“Jesus, baby, how badly do these hurt?” Jett asked, then brushed her hair from her cheek and stared at her face. He was kneeling by the bed, caressing her hair and gently smoothing his thumb along her lower lip.

“Not so bad anymore,” she whispered.

“This might be cold. I’ll try not to apply too much pressure, but my hands may feel rough against your soft skin.”

“It’s okay, Flynn. Just do it. Hopefully the stuff works as you said it will.”

The first contact he made with her skin had her flinching. It wasn’t from the pinch of achiness she felt or the cool cream texture itself, but the feel of Flynn’s hands on her body. She had dreamt of them touching her, caressing every inch of her body as they explored it with their mouths.

She could see them with her eyes closed. Their dark expressions, toned arms, large hands, determined actions in everything they did. Even now. The feel of his hands on her made her want to cry out. To know that both Jett and Flynn were here with her right now, seemingly caring for her, made her feel weak, and yet aroused. They’re so beautiful, so perfect, and I’m not. I have bruises all over, they might still think I was going to sabotage them, and the little bit of trust we had could be completely gone. She felt the tears in her eyes, the emotion clog her throat.

She closed her eyes tighter, as Flynn massaged the lotion onto her sensitive skin. Then she felt Jett’s lips against her lips. He kissed her softly, before whispering against her lips.

“I’m so sorry that he hurt you like this. We should have protected you,” he told her.

Her eyes opened, she knew he would be able to see the emotion in her eyes, but she was shocked by his words. Protect me?

“How could any of us have known this was going to happen?”

“We knew that there were threats. We knew about our uncle’s business being messed with and that we were threatened, too. We should have provided some security for you.”

She felt so badly for his upset. He really thought that this was somehow his fault.

“Jett, Raymond appeared after I left the hospital, and when I was feeling angry and vulnerable. He took advantage of that, and I was too stupid to question why a man as good looking and wealthy as him would be interested in someone like me.”

Flynn’s hands stilled on her back. Jett’s eyes darkened.

“You’re a gorgeous, classy, intelligent woman. What man in their right mind wouldn’t take the opportunity to scoop you up?” Jett asked.

“The right men,” she said, then closed her eyes.

“Adelina?”

She opened her eyes to look at Jett.

“Are you saying that you care for Flynn and I, and that you wanted us to make a move?”

She chuckled but it was a lame sound.

Tears filled her eyes. She felt them.

“I’ve lusted after you two for the better part of a year and a half. Watching other women have you was torturous. After the Tess situation, I lost it. I couldn’t go on wanting the both of you and being forced to watch you be with other women. Once my debt to Margliado was done, I was planning on resigning and leaving New York. I just couldn’t stand to watch the two of you ignore me, and love others. Raymond was a means to an end of feeling unwanted and not good enough. I was vulnerable and weak.”

Flynn massaged is hands lower, moving under the material of her lounge pants.

“We were wrong. So wrong for ignoring you out of fear that we we’re not good enough for you, Adelina. We wanted you. We lusted after you, but feared exactly what’s happening now. That because of us you’d be placed into danger or possibly killed. We didn’t love other women. We tried to substitute them for you. God, if we were just honest about our feelings, all of this could have been avoided. I’m sorry. You mean so much to us, baby. So much.” Jett said and then leaned forward and kissed her mouth.
