“No,” he barked, tightening his hold on her thighs. “Here with you, I’m always Rocco.”

She gulped. “I-I don’t understand.”

“We’ve been dancing around this for weeks. It’s time we stop. I want everyone to know this shit is mine.”

“Oh…” Her mouth formed an O.

He snickered. “That’s all you have to say?”

“I-I’m just shocked.”

“Nothing to think about. It either is…” He swiped his thumb over her swollen clit, adding friction with her silken underwear. “Or it isn’t.”

“And if it is?” she whispered, peering up at him from beneath lowered lids.

He hooked his fingers into the sides of her panties and slid them downward. She lifted her hips and he eased them off, tossing the scrap of material over his shoulders. “Then, I’m going to take care of you, mama. ’Cause that’s what I do to my belongings. Give me your hands.” She reached down and he laced their fingers, getting comfortable between her legs. Holding her gaze, he licked a path down her slippery slit and sucked her clit into his mouth, sampling the salty-sweet taste he couldn’t get enough of. Her breath hitched and she gripped his fingers as he continued to work her over, taking her higher as he dined on her like a meal tailor made for one.

Her chest heaved and her eyes glazed over. Her lids lowered, and she forced them back open. She flew over the edge.

“Y-yours,” she panted.

He growled his approval, giving her pussy a few last laps of his tongue before he unlaced their fingers and moved from the bed, shedding his clothes.

Chapter Seven

“Hello?” Evonne mumbled, answering the phone.

“Where the fuck have you been? Mom and Dad are worried to death. I came by your house and it’s clear you haven’t been there in weeks.”

The sound of her brother’s voice became like nails on a chalkboard. “Paul? Why is it any of your business what I’m doing? Maybe I’m just tired of being up their asses all the time¸” Evonne said.

“You owe them more,” Paul said.

“How long am I supposed to suffer for that?” Evonne sighed. “I was a kid who made a bad decision.

“That everyone suffered greatly for.”

“Because it was a cakewalk for me, Paul?” She snapped.

“It tore apart this family, broke something inside us it took years to get over. I don’t want to go back there,” Paul said, ignoring her defense.

Evonne closed her eyes against the guilt that washed over her like a wave. One bad decision and she’d ruined so many lives. If she’d known driving so late when she was exhausted would cause a wreck that would devastate her family she would’ve done things differently. “How many times can I say I’m sorry?” It always came back to this. All her decisions, the dutiful daughter act she put on to make up for the one time she lapsed in judgment.

“Not nearly enough. Now I repeat, where are you?” Paul barked.

She flinched.

“Who the fuck is that?” Rocky roared, snatching the phone from her. “I don’t know who you think you’re talking to, but you disrespect my girl one more time and we’re going to have a problem.”

“Rocco, it’s my brother, please?” Evonne said.

“I don’t give a fuck who he is,” Rocky said.

She wrestled the phone away from the fuming male. “Look, Paul, now is not a good time.”

“Are you fucking kidding me? This is about a man.”

She held the phone away from her ear, cringing.
