“Wake up, sleepy head,” a voice murmurs.

I stifle a yawn, forcing my tired eyes open. I don’t know when I finally fell asleep last night.

Impossibly blue eyes meet mine. “There you are,” Mia breathes.

Mia.

I give her a small smile. “Sleep well?”

She nods, climbing into my lap to straddle me.

My eyes widen in shock. “Are you wearing panties?”

She gives me a coy smile. “No.”

“Fuck,” I groan. “You’re trying to kill me, I know it.”

Her lips tilt up on one corner. “Sounds tempting, but I think you’re more useful alive.” She winks and my eyes go wide as her hand slips beneath my boxer-briefs.

This Mia is not something I’m used to.

“Do the mornings make you horny or something?” I choke out as her hand wraps around me.

She bites her lip and shrugs. “Maybe, but we haven’t been alone in a while and…” she trails off.

“I know,” I breathe.

She lowers her head and kisses me. She sucks my bottom lip between hers and lets go.

Fuck, I’m not sure I can handle this version of Mia. She’s a siren, a temptress, and I’m ensnared in her web.

My t-shirt dangles loosely on her small frame and with her hair a tangled mess I swear she’s the most beautiful thing my eyes have ever beheld. I could write a million songs about her and I’ve never had the desire to do that before. I thought one song would be enough. I’ve been sorely mistaken. Nothing, no amount of words in the entire universe, in any language, spoken in any tongue, is enough to encompass everything Mia is.

“We shouldn’t do this,” I warn. The words grate on my throat as I reluctantly speak them because I very much want this. “The guys—”

“I’ll be quiet,” she promises.

I narrow my eyes. “Are you challenging me?”

She bites her plump bottom lip, her eyes sparkling. “Not at all Mr. Wilder.”

My hands find her waist, my fingers digging into her skin as I fight to calm myself. With a few words she manages to undo my control and it’s not fair.

In one smooth movement I have her flipped over on her back as I hover above her.

“Miss Hayes,” I hum, “you are very, very dangerous.”

She grins and leans up to whisper, “I know.”

I kiss her, slipping my hands beneath the shirt, pushing it up her body. She lifts her arms for me to remove it, but instead I tie it around her hands. She narrows her eyes and pouts.

“You might think you have the control here, but I do, always,” I warn her with a stern growl before I kiss her.

She melts into my kiss, her body like liquid.

I palm one of her breasts, using my other hand to keep myself braced above her.

Her body rises against my hand, her back curving above the mattress.
