The room goes silent as we digest the words. Mira then flounces out triumphantly, having delivered her coup de grace.
Holy shit. Sarah is pregnant, and one of us is the father.
I check the pretty girl’s expression, and it echoes the shock I’m sure she sees on mine. Braden is looking just as stunned.
Mira was right, we are in for a wild time, but a part of me is excited about it, and I only hope Braden and Sarah feel the same.

Braden
It’s not every day that your mother catches you in bed with a woman, but this is about ten times worse because not only did my mom catch me suckling at a woman’s breast, but she also caught me doing it while my stepdad, her ex-husband, was licking Sarah’s back door. But having delivered her bomb, Mira jerks open the door and stalks out triumphantly, the slab swinging shut behind her. Meanwhile, Grant and I look at each other in shock before gazing at Sarah. The beautiful brunette is pale, her hands pressed to her lips.
“I’m pregnant?” she whispers. “Oh my god!”
Immediately, I’m at her bedside, taking one small hand in my own.
“You are, honey,” I say an emotional tone. “I’m so sorry about what just happened with my mother, but rest assured, she has no influence on my life, nor on yours. We want this baby, if you do too, Sarah. We adore you, and would love to see you grow round with our child.”
After all, Grant and I have discussed this possibility in private. We make love to Sarah all the time, and with a girl this young and fertile, anything is possible. Not only that, but she was getting double-teamed by two alpha males practically every day. Pregnancy was very much a possibility.
But now that it’s come true, I realize how much I want a baby with this sweet, giving brunette. She’s gentle, kind, and with a good heart that tried to save her family even when they didn’t deserve it. No one would be a better mommy than the woman I love.
Grant feels the same way because he takes Sarah’s other hand in his own, his blue eyes blazing with emotion.
“We love you, honey,” he says in a hoarse voice. “I meant it when I said those words earlier, and although I know this may come as a surprise, Braden and I have known that we adore you for a while now. We were just waiting for the right time to reveal our true emotions.”
Sarah blinks back the tears in her eyes.
“But you’ve been paying me money,” she says in a broken whisper. “You’ve been compensating me for my time and my body, and what man does that with the woman he loves?”
I shake my head.
“Every man does it,” I say fiercely. “Maybe it’s not as overt, but every man makes sure the love of his life is taken care of, whether with food, shelter, clothing, or whatever floats her boat. And we want to take care of you, Sarah. You and the baby both. But tell us: is this what you want too?”
With that, the beautiful girl’s face crumples a bit, and suddenly, she’s sobbing in my arms.
“Yes!” comes her muffled voice. “I love you so much, Braden and Grant, and I had no way to tell you. All along, I thought you saw me as nothing more than a professional escort, but it turns out it’s so much more.”
I nuzzle her curls, my heart almost pounding out of my chest.
“We stopped seeing you as a working girl a long time ago,” I rasp. “Isn’t that right, Grant?”
My stepdad nods, stroking her back in small circles before circling his big hand around to cup her belly with wonder.
“Yes, baby girl. We fell in love with you, and the money was just an after-thought. To be honest, it was on auto-pay from my bank account, and I’d forgotten about it altogether. But I want you to move in,” he rasps. “Let us take care of you and the child because this is a dream come true, and I mean that, sweetheart. I never thought I’d have the opportunity to be a father, but now, the time has come,” he breathes in awe while stroking along that small bump.
But then Sarah raises her tear-stained eyes.
“But what if we don’t know who the biological father is? I know it’s one of you, but will you love the baby less, given that only one man can be biologically related?”
I shake my head furiously.
“No honey. This baby belongs to all three of us, and DNA is no big deal. What matters is the intent, and Grant and I love you with all our hearts. We adore you, honey, so let go and relax. We’ll take care of you and the child from here on out.”
