"Do you have the rings?" Pastor Barnes asked.
Owen handed Brian a ring, and Ellie handed me the ring I'd chosen for Brian and we slid them on each other's fingers.
"I now pronounce you, man and wife. You may kiss your bride."
Brian took me in his arms and held me close as he kissed me.
Around us, our friends, family, and colleagues cheered.
As we all headed in to the restaurant area for the reception, Brian wrapped his arm around me and looked deep into my eyes. "Merry Christmas, Mrs. Chase, I couldn't ask for a better gift, than being married to you," he murmured and then kissed me.
I knew from then on that all of my Christmases would be cheery and bright, because I had the best gift of all. The Love of my life.
