Ben
Morning came with no regrets. Crew was wrapped around me, my back to his front, arms circling my waist, and our legs tangled. It was the first time in I didn’t know how long, I slept straight through the night.
His breaths were steady and puffs of air tickled the back of my neck. My bladder was protesting but I never wanted to move. Just one night…what was I thinking? I wanted more, and wanting that was terrifying.
“Morning.” Crew’s voice was rough with sleep and sexy as sin.
“Good morning. Sleep well?”
He squeezed me slightly, my bladder none too happy about that, and pressed a kiss to my shoulder.
“Best night’s sleep in a while.”
I fidgeted a bit, trying to move his arm from my stomach.
“Are you about to freak out?” he asked and I chuckled.
“No, but I do need the bathroom.”
He unfurled our bodies and I slipped out of bed. When I peered down on him, he had a radiant smile, his arms were now tucked behind his head, his brown skin flawless and enticing.
“Thought you had to go to the bathroom?” He quirked a brow.
“Right…stop distracting me.” I darted to the en suite, not fully shutting the door so I could hear him.
“How is my just lying here distracting?”
“Mmhmm, like there’s anything not distracting in just about everything you do, Crew Riley.”
“Are you chastising me?” His voice rose, but there was playfulness in his tone.
I flushed and washed my hands, waiting until I could see his face to answer. He was sitting up in the bed, I knew he was naked under the sheets and a big part of me wanted to pull them off and lick him from toes to nose.
“You call a compliment chastising?” I folded my arms over my chest. I could feel the heat rising as Crew’s gaze roamed over my naked form.
“Is that what you were doing?”
Things were about to get fucking hot, but of course, someone hated me and knocked on my door. I’d locked it last night, so I wasn’t worried about anyone walking in.
“Mr. Asher, it’s Dane.”
I sighed and grabbed my robe. “One moment.”
Crew got out of bed and I watched…no gawked, as he so very slowly walked to the bathroom. He shot me a wink before shutting the door. Demon.
I opened the bedroom door to a professionally dressed Dane. His eyes widened at the sight of me.
“Are you ill, sir?”
“I am not, why?”
He gestured to my person. “You’re not dressed.” He looked at his watch. “It’s nine-thirty.”
“Okay? Is there a point about to sprout from your brilliant brain?”
“I…well, there’s work, are you not working today?” He scrolled through his tablet. “I can cancel your appointments.”
