ELENA
As Elena stirred, and started to wake up, she remembered the events of the night before. Damn, her erotic fantasies about Jason did not compare to reality. He had just blown all of them out of the water, leaving her wanting more.
She hadn’t planned on having sex with him, certainly not in the place she called her office, but once things started, Elena didn’t want it to stop. It had been fast, intense, and exciting. She was still tingling remembering it later.
It had been the same once they got to Jason’s house in the suburbs. There, they had slowly undressed each other and explored their bodies with their fingers and mouths. Elena loved hearing Jason moan when she took his cock into her mouth and explored his chest with her fingers.
Damn, he was a fine specimen. Elena had enjoyed touching him all over, feeling him close against her as he made her climax yet again. When he had the opportunity, Jason really took his time.
Elena could feel goosebumps on her arms at the memories.
As she came to her senses a little more, though, she realized what she had done. She had just slept with her boss, someone she should have kept well aware from when it came to intimacy. Only a week before, she had pushed him away, telling herself that she shouldn’t be doing this. They had agreed that they wouldn’t do anything beyond that kiss.
But they had given in, and now they had slept together. And Elena was unsure of what to do next. How did anyone face their boss the day after they had just spent the night together?
Jason was not in the bed beside her. His side was empty and cold, which meant he was up and about somewhere. Elena swallowed and sat up. She was going to have to find him and face this head-on. There was no sneaking away for herself.
God, she was not looking forward to it.
Slipping out of bed, she looked around for something to wear. Her clothes were not in the bedroom, so she had to find something else. Going over to the dresser, she rummaged around and found a black T-shirt. It was bulky enough that she could wear it without flashing anything. Even so, Elena felt a little exposed.
She would be glad once she found her clothes and got dressed properly.
Heading through the house, she found Jason in the kitchen. He was leaning on the counter, dressed in jeans and leaving his chest bare while sipping his coffee. He was staring into space, his expression tense. Elena hovered in the doorway. Already she could feel the tension in the air, and she hadn’t even entered the room.
This was not going to be good.
She cleared her throat. Jason looked up, his eyes flickering with something when he saw her. He straightened up.
“Hey.”
“Hey.”
There was an awkward pause. What could she say in that moment? Elena was at a loss for words. Jason put his coffee mug down.
“Did you sleep okay?”
“Yeah, I did.”
Another awkward silence. Where was the confidence Elena normally carried? It just seemed to vanish into thin air around Jason. She took a deep breath.
“Listen, Jason…”
“We shouldn’t have done that, Elena.”
The words were like a slap in the face. Elena blinked.
“I…what?”
“We agreed last week that we wouldn’t do anything, but we completely ignored that. I’d like to think that the drink was the culprit, but we were sober.” Jason shook his head. “We have no excuse as to why we decided to have sex. Hot sex, yes, but something we shouldn’t have done.”
He was right, and Elena knew it. But that didn’t mean the words didn’t hurt.
“Well, we can put it down as a mistake and move past it, can’t we?” she said. “That’s the most logical solution to this.”
“Is it?”
Elena frowned. “You think we should be carrying this on? You just said it’s not a good idea.”
