“What do you think, Boss?” Ax asked.
Fury shook his head. “This is an unusual situation. I can understand why she did it, and I’m impressed at the damage she did to them in such a short amount of time, but she disobeyed you.”
“The problem with that is I never said she couldn’t. All I told her was I had to talk to you.”
“Fuck,” Fury said. “And you guys don’t have a relationship?”
“Yet. I’m working that way,” Ax said
Some of the guys snorted.
“We can’t have her going off half-cocked,” Traeger said.
Fury looked at Savage. “You think it was Lindsey who told her?”
Savage nodded. “The way she was acting when we came into the kitchen, I’d say yes. I could see the guilt on her face and the confusion on the others. None of them can hide their emotions worth a damn. Especially from their men.”
“Well, she does know the rules, so you’ll have to deal with that,” Fury said.
Savage grinned and slapped his hands together. “I’m going to have a great night.”
“Fuck off and take care of your woman,” Traeger said.
Savage laughed and walked out of the room.
“So, what do I do?” Ax asked.
“What if you told her she got Lindsey in trouble? She seemed to be protective over her,” Dre said.
Fury nodded. “Try it. It’s the only thing I can think of. She’ll feel guilty. You can’t punish her the way she should be yet, and fuck if I want her gone. She’s a great addition to the family and already loyal to the women.”
Ax nodded. “Thanks. I wasn’t sure what you would do.”
“Go get your woman and step up the romance, man, so you have the right to punish her.”
Ax smiled. “I’m working on it, Boss.”
“Well, work harder, asshole,” Fury said and then threw a wadded paper at him. “Go.”
“Yes, sir.”
Ax grinned when he heard Fury snort at that. He had a woman to romance, and he was definitely looking forward to taking the next step.
His first glance at her asleep on his bed made desire twist his guts and made a feral, possessive growl stick in his throat. Mine! The word resonated through his mind. He locked the door, took off everything except his jeans, and climbed in beside her. The look of peace on her face made him feel even more protective. His hand slid up and down her torso as he braced his head on his hand.
“Baby, wake up.”
She stirred and then turned her head toward him. “Hey.”
“Hey yourself.”
“Do I have to leave?” she asked.
Ax shook his head. “No, baby, but we’ve got to go over a few things. Some rules you’ll have to follow.”
She nodded. “Okay.”
He studied her face as his hand slid up to cup her breast, and all he could see was desire. “Do you like it when I touch you?”
