“Will I be hurt?” she asked.
He snorted. “No. We don’t do that shit. He might want you gone, though.”
She nodded and blinked away her tears. “I’ll miss you.”
He pulled her up against his side. “Let’s wait, babe.”
The women all stopped and looked at her in shock.
“What’s going on?” Amelia said.
“You’ll find out in a bit. We’ll be in the office,” Ax said.
“If I have to leave, I’ll come and say goodbye.”
“Leave?” the women said.
Ax pulled her into the office, sat in a chair, and held her in his lap. She was thankful for the support. They didn’t have long to wait before the office door slammed open, and Fury, Traeger, Dre, Savage, Enforcer, and a few others walked in.
She could feel herself shaking and concentrating on keeping calm, but it was next to impossible when the men turned their attention to her.
“So, I hear you disobeyed an order and went to see the men?”
Ella straightened and nodded. “Yes, sir.”
“Why?”
“Sir, I can’t explain the damage that happens to a person when they’re raped, and unless you’ve gone through it yourself, you won’t know. The only thing I could think of to make myself feel better was to see the men one more time.”
“Did it help?”
She nodded. “Yes. I just wish the other women could have a chance at them.”
Fury shook his head. “No fucking way. How did you find out where the shed was?”
She swallowed. “I … I overheard someone talking about it.”
Fury snorted. “You’re a horrible liar.”
“I accept my punishment, sir, but I refuse to bring anyone else into this. It was a hundred percent me.”
Traeger grinned. “I told you.”
“Told him what?” Ax asked.
“I told Fury she wouldn’t give up any of the girls.”
“Because it wasn’t them,” she said.
Fury sat back and studied her, and the longer it went on, the more nervous she got.
“Why don’t you go up to Ax’s room while we discuss the situation?”
She nodded, looked at Ax over her shoulder, and climbed off his lap. No one stopped her as she climbed the stairs. When she got to Ax’s room, she lay down and closed her eyes. The day had been eventful, and she started to feel the effects. She was asleep within a minute.
