“I need your words.”

“I understand.”

“Good girl.”

My pulse quickens at that, and he smiles at me, as if he knows I like it.

“I think we should both get out of these wet clothes. What do you think?”

I move from the bed, nodding. “I agree.”

Nervous energy moves through me, making my legs feel like jelly. But I want this. I want Jafar.

Inhaling, I kick off my shoes and pull off my socks. My hands shake as I unbutton my jeans. I have to tug the wet denim down my legs, which probably isn’t very sexy, but Jafar doesn’t act like he minds. My shirt is next, leaving me in just my bra and panties. Uncertainly makes me pause. I’m wearing the most boring cotton panties known to man and Jafar is used to seeing only the best. Heat creeps up my neck. Maybe this was a bad idea.

His gaze roams my body in slow appraisal.

“Do you know how fucking beautiful you are? Do you know how many times I’ve thought about this?”

I exhale shakily. “I’ve thought about it, too.”

“Yeah? Be a good girl and tell me what you thought about.”

His movements are slow and casual as he pulls off his shirt, revealing his perfectly sculpted chest. We’ve been sleeping in the same bed the last few nights, but he usually undresses when the lights are off. But right now, I’m able to get my eyeful, and Malik Jafar does not disappoint. His bronze skin is covered in colorful tattoos that dance across his pec, shoulder, and onto his arm. I’m surprised to see a tiny barbell in one of his nipples. Warmth spreads through me as I wonder what it would be like to tug it with my teeth.

“Ellie?”

Blinking, I realize I’m supposed to be answering him.

“Sorry.” I wave my hand in his direction. “All ofthathas me distracted.”

He grins, popping his pec muscles. “Look all you want, little mouse. I don’t bite.”

I laugh and say, “I find that doubtful, but that’s okay because I think I’ll like whatever you give me.”

“Ellie—”

I cut him off before I lose my nerve. “Back to what you asked. This is silly, since you probably don’t even remember, but the most common fantasy I have is centered around the birthday party Jasmine threw for me right after you were married. It was at—”

“The karaoke bar. I remember.”

“I was embarrassed because I didn’t know anyone there. And no one was singing. I mean, who goes to a karaoke bar and doesn’t sing?” Shaking my head, I continue, “But then you grabbed a microphone and blew everyone away with your version of that one D’Angelo song. I’d always loved that song, but hearing you sing it was just…”

I can’t even speak because I’m getting so hot just thinking about it.

Jafar reaches for his belt buckle, undoing it. “I knew you liked that song, Ellie, and every time I hear it, I think about you.”

“You really sang it for me, then?”

He kicks off his shoes as he nods. “I did. Now, tell me what the fantasy is.”

He’s down to just his pants, and I lick my lips in anticipation before continuing.

“In the fantasy, it’s just the two of us, and you’re singing it to me right before we make love.” My cheeks are warm. “I imagine what your body feels like against mine. How your skin tastes. All of it.”

His muscles flex as he unbuttons his pants and slides them down his legs. Once again, seeing Jafar in nothing but his boxer briefs feels like getting a glimpse of my own personal heaven. But this time he’s not walking away from me. No, he slowly walks toward me until we’re so close that I feel the heat coming from his body.

“Still okay with this?”
