I’m in Sadie Sullivan’s bed. The thought slowly danced across his consciousness as cold panic rose within him. What did I do?

You fucked your employee, that’s what you did. Yes, he’d fucked Sadie Sullivan—multiple times throughout the night, right here in her pristine white bed, if he remembered correctly.

Liam groaned and moved his arm over his face. Taking a couple of deep breaths, he turned his head and peeked out from under his arm, bracing himself for the sight of her.

She looks like a damn angel. The realization dawned on him as warmth infused his veins, and he closed his mouth tight in an effort to stop the loud groan threatening to break free.

She was presumably just as naked as he was, but in the morning light she looked more like the high school version of herself than she ever had since re-entering his life. She was swathed in her white linen bedding and duvet, her blond hair swirling around her head and her features relaxed in sleep as she breathed quietly through her nose.

However much she looked like an angel, though, Liam knew for certain after the things they’d done last night that she was definitelynot.

After he’d attacked her like a rabid animal on the couch, they’d spent the night in her bed, and it had been … wonderful … perfect … andcompletely and totally inappropriate. And he hadn’t even been drunk, so he didn’t have that as an excuse.

He just couldn’t keep sitting there and watch her lick that damned spoon anymore.

Reaching up to touch the strands of her silky hair that lay spread around her still face, he considered how he felt about this. What would it mean for him? For her? If he was being honest with himself, he wasn’t really sure yet.

His touch caused her to stir, and her blue eyes opened slightly. She seemed to experience the same confusion he did for a half second, and Liam was petrified that she might have regrets, and that she would put a voice to them. What if she jumped from the bed, accusing him of taking advantage of her?

But her uncertainty cleared up almost immediately, her eyes lighting up as she took in his face, her lips turning up into a sleepy smile.

“Good morning.” Her voice was low and had a slight catch in it from lack of use.

“Good morning,” he responded, his voice coming out deep with concern, and his eyes darting up and down her face looking for some sign that she was upset or confused. “How are you feeling?”

Her smile widened slowly as she inched closer to him. “I gotta admit … I’m feeling freaking fantastic.”

Liam barked out a laugh, lifting his hand up to rest on the side of her neck as he fiddled with her hair. The fact that she wasn’t upset assuaged some of his worry.Maybe this is okay? The concern didn’t leave his eyes, though, as he looked her over.

“You’re okay that this happened?” he asked, his brows lowering with the question. It struck him that although Jake had been worried she’d take advantage of him, he was her boss. If anyone was at risk of taking advantage of someone in this situation, it washim.

“Mmm-hmm,” she murmured, sidling closer to him, her nipples grazing the hairs on his chest as she brought her lips up to meet his. “More than okay.”

Relief and heat battled to overwhelm Liam as he pressed his hand on her lower back, pulling her close so that she was lying flush against him.

“So….” She said the word in a low voice thick with insinuation as she ran her fingers lightly over the back of his neck. Liam felt heat spread up his back, a low noise forming deep inside his chest. “It’s a bluebird powder day. Do you want to go skiing?”

“Skiing?” he asked deeply with a wry smile. “You want to go skiing?”

“Yeah,” she said with a laugh, pulling away to flop back on the bed, the duvet slipping to leave her creamy breasts on full display. “I think the snow is making it impossible to run. You ski, right?”

“Yeah, I ski,” he said distractedly, looking down at her, unable to stop himself from reaching down and running his hands up her stomach, leaving it to rest on one of the small mounds. She drew in a deep breath as Liam lowered his face to her nipples, taking one in his mouth and tugging lightly with his teeth.

“We don’t have to go right away, though,” she said distractedly. “We can do … other stuff first.”

“Yeah, let’s do other stuff first,” he agreed urgently, moving to hover over her. “Lie on your stomach.”

Her eyes flashed with heat at the order, but she did what she was told and turned to lie on her stomach, her arms lying flat at her sides.

Leaning on one elbow, Liam placed his other hand on her shoulder and started moving it slowly down her back. Her skin was soft and unblemished, and as his hand grazed her, goosebumps rose as she started to squirm slightly.

His hand stopped on the curve of her ass, resting on it for a second before he leaned into her, his mouth next to her ear. “Keep your hands at your sides,” he whispered deeply. “Or I’ll stop.”

Last night, Liam had discovered something very interesting about Sadie Sullivan. For as vivacious and outgoing she was to his quiet shyness, she sure liked to be bossed around in her bright white bed.

So, she didn’t say anything to his rough order, just moaned softly as his hand traveled down her ass and between her legs, finding her hot and wet. His fingers dipped slightly inside of her, and she groaned as she lifted her hand, reaching for him.

He immediately pulled his hands away from her, his mouth coming down to her ear again. “I didn’t tell you to move, Ms. Sullivan.”
