So much feeling coming through those eyes, though. She didn’t understand it, but she sure loved looking at him while he looked at her like that.

She moved her hand away from his mouth, and he didn’t say anything. He just continued staring down at her, a war going on inside of him. She lifted her face up to his, drawing his lips into soft kisses and pulling him down until she was flat on the couch, her head elevated slightly on a pillow, her body flush with his.

Whatever hang ups he’d had a few seconds ago disintegrated as his weight came down more fully on her, his hard body connecting with her softer parts.

His hand moved down the soft knit of her sweater and slid under it again, his warm hand weighing down against her skin before his fingers grazed her waist, and his hand made its way up under her lacy bralette, kneading her breast and rolling his palm over her nipple.

Sadie moaned at his touch and reached down to unbuckle his pants, her hands clumsily banging against it, unable to form the movements necessary to spring him loose. It seemed like neither of them were much interested in a prelude as he quickly moved his hand down to his pants to assist her.

They quickly shimmied both of their pants down just enough for their essential parts to meet. Sadie drew in a breath at the feel of him, hot and thick between her legs as she kicked off her leggings and wrapped her bare legs around his waist.

He dipped his fingers into her center and groaned deep within his chest as his fingers worked her gently. It was the first noise he’d made the entire time they’d been at it, and it caused something to melt inside of her, a new urgency overtaking her as she reached down to grab hold of him.

He wouldn’t let her, though. Before she could touch him, he seized her hand, positioning it above her head and holding it there while he grabbed the other hand and joined them together. Holding both her hands above her head with one of his, he lowered his mouth to her neck while he thrust his fingers into her again.

She moaned loudly like she never had before, her thoughts scrambled in a mixture of panic and pleasure as the loss of control ignited a fire in her. He pulled back from her neck, looking down at her and breathing heavily as she met his eyes, silently pleading with him.

His eyes weren’t nervous or uncertain anymore—they were severe, cutting into her with that same feeling, but this time it had a sharp edge that cut her to her core.

“Liam,” she moaned the word in a high-pitched whine as she bucked against him involuntarily. “Please….”

He grabbed hold of himself then, and a sharp intake of breath rose within her as he hit her deep inside. He still had her hands positioned above her head as he held still for a beat, looking down at her with those heavy brown eyes, both of them savoring the feeling of him settling deep into place.

Not having her hands to encourage him, to feel him, she used her hips to re-position herself against him, causing him to sink deeper, which seemed to awaken him from his reverie.

His eyes regained their focus as he started moving slowly at first, in and out, lighting a match inside of Sadie as she groaned, arching her back. The need built slowly inside of her as he continued to connect with the most perfect place deep inside of her. She groaned encouragingly. She wanted him to keep hitting that spot—sheneededit.

Both of their movements suddenly became more urgent, but Liam still didn’t let go of her hands when she let out a series of loud whimpers as her muscles started constricting violently around him.

She could feel his gaze looking down at her while she came. His eyes were filled to the brim with that unidentifiable feeling as he pounded into her three more times before he came, too, watching her as she continued to pulse around him.

Once the waves had passed, Liam moved to lie between her and the back of the couch, breathing heavily with his eyes closed.

When she shifted her weight to lie on her side and face him, he opened his eyes and settled them on her face. She waited for him to say something—apologize, maybe say that it had been a mistake. That’s not what he did, though—he smiled and reached his hand up to graze her cheek lightly. His dimples showing themselves in all their glory.

She was … surprised. His eyes had lost their weight as he leaned over toward her face, kissing her lightly on the lips.

“My bedroom is just past the kitchen,” she whispered, looking up at him with an innocent look. “Do you want to see it?”

“Yes,” he whispered back in his deep, rough voice. “I do.”

A smile spread over her cheeks, and a light feeling leaped inside of her chest. “Good. You’ll love it.”

Liam

Bright, earlymorningsunstreamed through gauzy white curtains, gently nudging Liam awake from a deep sleep. He cracked his eyes open slowly, his brain doing its best to make sense of where he was.

His bed at home was low and flat with the same thin plaid comforter that he’d been using since college, and his room was dark with heavy, light-blocking curtains covering the window.

Thiswasn’this bed—he was wrapped in a cocoon of warm, thick bedding—and this wasn’t his room—he could see that the morning sky through the light curtains was blue and dazzling in its intensity.

He didn’t want to move. The cocoon was so warm and soft, and it had a slight fruity smell. There was also someone here … someone soft beside him. His hand traveled up the cool sheets until it landed on her—so soft, silky, and even warmer than him.

Slowly at first and then more quickly, his heart rate picked up and alarm crept over him.

Pulling his hand away like he’d touched fire, his eyelids flew open as memories from the previous night bombarded him. He was staring at an unfamiliar ceiling. He was in an unfamiliar room.
