“Done. Now let’s go. We have things to handle tonight after this,” Lux said.

Rem dropped her cigarette and glanced down at her phone, the bright light illuminating her face as a devilish grin appeared. “Looks like this year is going to be fun.”

I hurriedly dragged my phone out and saw the message. It went wide, so every student in the school got the message.

Luxious: new girl belongs to the KINGS.

Laughter bubbled up my chest. I fist-pumped the air and moved over to Lux, tossing my arm around his shoulders. He stiffened but didn’t push me off as we headed toward the pool house.

“Now focus,” Lux said.

The moment we came up on the doors, they opened. Two burly men dressed in black from head to toe stood at the entrance. One of them almost stepped in our way, but the other placed his hand out to stop him. He nodded at Lux, and just like that, we were granted entrance. Where there should have been pool equipment and whatever else was supposed to be in the pool house, there was none. Instead, there was an open hatch on the floor with stairs leading down.

“Wonder what’s going to be the specialty tonight,” I rubbed my hands together, filled to the fucking brim with excitement.

“It’s—”

“Samson, I will shove my knife up your ass if you ruin this for me,” I said with a bright smile.

Samson blinked lazily at me. His mouth opened, but Lux spoke before Samson could ruin the surprise for me. He was such a spoilsport.

“Enough,” Lux said.

Rem snickered as we made our way down to the underground. The tunnel was poorly lit, but there was something about darkness that was so welcoming. Maybe it was the all-consuming feeling it gave off.

There was little to no sound besides our light footsteps. I slipped my arm free as something caught my attention. I kept my head facing forward, but someone else was definitely in the tunnel with us. A wicked smile that was impossible to contain curved my lips. There were no plans for me to get bloody tonight, but I wasn’t exactly upset that the opportunity had shown itself.

I licked my lips in anticipation. What if it was the pretty new toy? My heart skipped a beat, and now I was desperate for some light. I wanted to watch the light disappear from her green eyes as she clung to me. Blood splattered all over her fitted dress.

“Are you moaning?” Rem asked.

I shook my head free of the beautiful daydream. My cock was rock solid, and the vivid imagery of her blood on my hands made me want to fist my cock and stroke it until I came. I fixed my pants and laughed, still aware of the other person in the tunnel with us. The slightest touch from Lux and I knew he was aware as well.

“What can I say? Blood makes me horny.”

“The kill is better,” Samson said drily.

Still, I knew killing revved Samson up. It was the only time an inkling of true light twinkled in his otherwise dull eyes. And then, when he fucked after, it was like a beast set loose. If the chick survived, it was considered a win.

I slipped the needle from the necklace around my neck. It was so thin that if I slipped up, I’d be the one struck and paralyzed for a day or two. Yet I was skilled, and if there was a slip-up, then I hoped whoever gained access to my body really went wild. It would be a shame if my blood weren’t spilled artfully.

The person was light on their feet, but they weren’t quick enough. Samson moved in tune with my body and swiveled just at the last minute. I struck, pushing a single needle in. The way the flesh caved and sank right in sent a tingle down my spine. I knew if the lights turned on, the world would see me smiling like a loon.

“Son of a—” The body dropped, and anything else he was going to say slurred, and I was no translator.

“Leave him. Someone sent him to slow us down,” Lux said.

I actually whimpered. “But he attacked us that is free cause to have fun.”

“We are late,” Lux said, turning and continuing to walk.

I growled in frustration and turned to follow him. He was lucky.

“I have someone coming to pick him up,” Samson whispered.

Or not.

“I like you sometimes.”
