“I think we all just need to take it down a notch,” Sundance said. “Drink a little, smoke a ton, sleep. Needles is takin’ care of Luigi for now and the bastard’s not goin’ anywhere for the moment. We’ll reconvene in the mornin’.”

“Need you to stay away from the shed, Tango,” Moses said. “Can you do that?”

“As long as you don’t do anything to him unless I’m in on the decision.”

“Gonna let that insubordination slide this time, Tango,” Sundance warned.

Tango scowled, but nodded.

“Yeah, we’ll keep you in the loop,” Sundance promised.

Tango stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

“Keep an eye on him, Wrath,” Moses said.

“Roger,” I said, and followed him out.

Tango was almost to the great room when I caught up to him.

“You think you can deal?” I asked.

“You need to mind your goddamn business,” he warned, his eyes scanning the room. They landed on Bellamy and his body seemed to relax when he saw she was obviously safe and secure, laughing with the other women, taking a shot of tequila. The good kind, if the nearly empty bottle of Patrón sitting on the coffee table was any indication.

Bellamy’s head turned toward us, and she smiled.

She was pretty, I’d give her that. Not my type, but there was no denyin’ she was beautiful, and it was obvious my brother thought so too.

“Goddammit,” Tango growled, turning, and walking back toward the stairs.

Bellamy frowned and focused back on her friends while Sierra made her way over to me.

“What was that all about?” she asked.

“No fuckin’ clue, Moonbeam.”

She gripped my cut. “Are you done?”

I raised an eyebrow. “You needin’ somethin’ from me?”

“Hell, yes, I am.”

I pulled the edibles from my pocket and grinned. “Let’s go.”

She clapped her hands and made a run for the stairs.

Sierra

Aweek orso later, I carried my laptop downstairs and knocked on Sundance’s office door.

“Yeah?”

“It’s Sierra,” I called.

“Come on in.”

I walked inside and he smiled up at me, but I could tell it was forced.

“I have an update from Taxi.”
