Wrath grinned. “Thanks, sweetheart.”
I handed Indigo my potato peeler and then followed Wrath out of the kitchen. “What’s going on?” I asked.
He raised his finger to his lips and led me up to his room, closing the door behind us. “I need you to do your thing,” he said, handing me a driver’s license.
“Oh my god, this Luigi guy ishere?”
“Yeah, and Tango’s been takin’ a wrench to him out in the shed for who knows how long.”
“Wait,” I said, holding my hand up. “Tango’sbeaten him up?”
Wrath nodded.
“Why?”
He raised an eyebrow. “Apparently, Luigi called Bellamy a frigid cunt.”
“Holy shit.” I let out a quiet whistle. “Is he, like, harboring something for her?”
“Tango?”
“No, Santa Claus,” I retorted, heading to my room to grab my laptop.
Wrath followed me. “Nah, Tango’s never gonnabe in love with anyone other than Carina.”
I sat on my bed and opened my computer, staring up at my beautiful, clueless man. “Um, honey?”
“Yeah?”
“Wouldyoubeat a man with a wrench because he called, say,Raquela frigid cunt?”
“No, why the fuck would I—” His eyes widened, and he hissed out a breath. “Oh,shit.”
“Now he gets it.”
He met my eyes. “Well, that took a turn.”
“Oh my god, can you imagine the babies?” I breathed out. “Lordy, they’ll be unbelievably beautiful.”
Wrath chuckled. “Don’t get your hopes up, Moonbeam. Tango’s one fucked up individual and Bellamy doesn’t take shit off anyone. Not sure they’re in the stars, as you would say.”
“Ooh, good idea, honey. I should do their charts. Do you know what time Tango was born?”
He pointed to my screen. “First, let’s figure out who this Luigi asshole is, hmm?”
“Right.” I focused on Luigi’s license and entered his information into my background tracking software.

Wrath
“Thanks, baby.” I took the thumb drive from Sierra, kissing her quickly.
“Are you coming back up?” she asked.
“In a while.”
“Ah, how long’s a while?” she demanded. “Because if you’re going to be longer than, say, half-an-hour, then I’m going to hang with the girls, and you can finish what we started after I’ve had a few more shots of tequila.”
