“Jesus, Rowan, don’t say that.”
“What? You must know they’re boinking.”
“Do not say ‘boinking’ and my mother’s name in the same sentence,” Scooby had growled as he got out of the shower.
Otis was in his bassinet in the bedroom, and I was sitting at the vanity trying to apply makeup. I was distracted (of course) by my naked husband in all his glory. I was naked under my robe and was doing math in my head trying to figure out if we had time for a quickie before his mother arrived.
“Well, if they had a relationship in the past, and you’re pretty sure Needles is still in love with her, and they said they had a big announcement that they could only tell us in person…” I turned to face him. “Then the only logical conclusion is that they’re boinking.”
“Rowan,” he warned.
“Would you rather me call them loverrrrrs?”
With a grunt, he dropped his towel, wrapped his arms around my waist and picked me up, carrying me to the bed and dropping me onto it. “I’ll show you lovers, Twinkles.”
“Shhh,” I warned, biting back giggles. “Don’t wake the sleeping baby.”
He tugged open my robe, pressing the tip of his cock to my entrance. “Do you think you can be quiet?”
I bit my lip. “I don’t know,” I admitted.
He slid deeper inside of me. “You gonna try?”
“Absolutely.”
“I’m gonna fuck you into submission later, you know that right?”
I stroked his face. “I can’t wait.”
He slammed into me, and I bit his shoulder to keep from screaming. He cupped my face and kissed me, swallowing my moan as he guided me to the quietest orgasm I’d ever had. It had been perfect.
The doorbell rang, pulling me from my memory and I smiled down at Otis who had now lost purchase on my nipple and was fast asleep. I pulled my clothing back on, lifting him over my shoulder to burp him as Scooby answered the door.
“Where is that grandson of mine?” Jill demanded the second she walked in.
“He’s in a milk haze,” I said, handing him off to her, kissing her cheek once she had him.
“Come to Grammie,” she cooed, and held him tight, waking him briefly. “And he’s out.”
“Sorry.” I smiled. “He’s eating Scooby’s weight right now.”
“Don’t apologize for having a healthy baby, honey. I just love that we live so close.”
“Me too.” I grinned, leading her into the kitchen. “Okay, I need to get these potatoes in the oven, or they’ll never get done.”
“I already put ’em in, baby,” Scooby said as he handed Needles a beer.
“You did?” I wrapped my arms around his waist. “Thank you.”
“Shall I lie him down here?” Jill asked, nodding to the bassinet in the great room.
“Yes, that’ll be perfect,” I said. “I want him to get used to sleeping in the noisiest places.”
“Smart.” She settled him into the bed and then joined us in the kitchen.
Scooby handed her a beer and then we sat at the kitchen table.
“So, Eddie and I have some news.”
