I ignore Emma, turning to Karly, “I thought you said you weren’t coming?”

“I wasn’t,” She whispers, “but Emma is a very hard person to say no to.”

Tell me about it.

“Can we talk?” I ask Karly and turn my gaze to Emma, “in private.”

Emma holds up both hands, surrendering, leaving us standing in the kitchen alone.

Karly takes a step toward me, and her eyes darken, tugging at my heart.

“I’m sorry,” I whisper, “I… I don’t know what happened. I’m not usually like that.”

She freezes a second before threading her fingers with mine, “I know. You are kind of sexy when you’re jealous, though.”

I take the back of my hand and gently skim them down her other arm, “I can’t stand the thought of anyone touching you but me.”

She blushes, allowing a big smile to cover her face. She leans onto her tiptoes to whisper in my ear, “Show me.”

A fire burns deep in my stomach, and I wrap my arms around her waist. The heat burns up my neck and makes my gut twist into a million knots, but the sound of the sliding glass door has her shuffling as fast as she can to get out of my embrace.

“Sorry,” Ty stumbles in, drunk off his ass, “Am I interrupting something?”

Karly’s voice is low, almost sultry sounding, “No, we were just—”

“Talking.” I finish.

“I am doing it all wrong then,” Ty slurs.

Emma returns to the kitchen, “There you are, big guy. Come here.”

Ty cages Emma in against the counter, breathing against her neck.

“What are you doing?” She giggles, causing Ty to look back at us.

“Talking, Em.” He whispers, “This is talking.”

Her brows tilt together, and his lips fall to hers. I pull Karly from the kitchen to my room. The second the door closes, we crash. Hard, fast, and greedy movements. I try my best to fondle the lock on the door until it clicks into place.

“I need you right now,” She orders, pushing my hand up her thigh against the thin fabric of her panties.

“Jesus, Jolene. You are soaked.”

She flutters her eyes, looking up at me through her thick lashes. “Something about you acting like a jealous asshole.”

I want to forever commit the way she looks at me to my memory. I don’t know, frame it or something.

“You are killing me,” I admit, slipping my finger inside her.

She chuckles softly, “Death by desire?”

I nod, kissing her neck, “Can’t think of a better way to go.”

Her pulse beats wildly as I pin her hands above her head and stare into her eyes. Realizing that the way I feel right now is something I want to bottle up and keep forever. Keep her forever.

“Can I take you somewhere?” I blurt, causing her brows to twist in confusion.

She lets out a deep breath, squeezing her thighs together.
