“Definitely not.” Nagisa wrapped an arm around Seiho’s nape and another around his waist, bringing him close for a longer kiss. Seiho’s erection grazed his lower abdomen and Nagisa pulled away, then grabbed onto the duvet, folding it fast and placing it behind his head. “Come up here.” He patted his chest.
Seiho bit his lip and hesitated. “Are you sure?”
“Yes. Come on.”
Seiho crawled on top of Nagisa’s chest, legs wide open, straddling his shoulders, but didn’t sit with all his weight. His cock throbbed right in front of Nagisa’s face, a bead of pre-cum at the tip, and Nagisa wrapped his hand over the base.
Propping his arms against the duvet, Seiho thrust slowly, but Nagisa shoved him half-way in his mouth and caressed Seiho’s hip, encouraging him to move faster.
Seiho hissed and rocked forward, his thighs jerking as Nagisa sucked harder. He took his cues from Seiho’s reactions, from the moans and gasps, learning what he liked and offering him as much pleasure as Nagisa possibly could. He wanted to see Seiho lose himself, to forget reality, to forget what was waiting for them after tonight—even if just for a little while.
"Nagisa, I’m—” Seiho choked out, his cock pulsed and his cum hit Nagisa's throat in hot jets. Seiho let out a shuddering breath and threw himself back down on thefutonmattress, chest rising up as he inhaled and exhaled fast.
Nagisa settled by his side, head in the crook of Seiho’s neck, palm rubbing his abdomen.
“We need to do this again,” Seiho said.
“Agreed.”
“No, I meant tonight.” Seiho draped an arm over his shoulder, squeezing lightly.
“Of course.” Nagisa pressed a kiss to Seiho’s throat, then glanced up at him.
That earlier mischievous look was still there, but the glow in his eyes had diminished. Nagisa guessed that, far beyond the words hid fear. Fear that there wouldn’t be a second chance for them to enjoy one another and to get to know each other better.
A fresh wave of determination swept over Nagisa. He was going to offer Seiho not just tonight, but more nights and days and months and years.
CHAPTER 6
Nagisa woke up alone under the duvet. Sweat trickled down his temple and his body was sticky underneath the thick cover. He pushed it down to his waist and sat up on his elbows.
In the opposite corner of the room, Seiho rested on the legless chair, legs crossed, chin in his palm, and reading from a parchment in the dim light of the lantern. He wore only his knee-length pants and his hair was untied, falling down his bare shoulders.
He seemed wrapped up in whatever he was reading and only now, as Nagisa looked at Seiho, it truly hit him what a big difference there was between them. Seiho, a man stuck in a timeless loop of his own making. And Nagisa, a naïve city-boy, dropping here with vows of freedom.
Nagisa mentally shook his head trying not to discourage himself. Seiho needed help and he would do his best to offer it. He wouldn’t abandon Seiho. He was well familiar with the sorrow of being left behind and the hollowness it left in one’s heart.
Nagisa took a long breath and his eyes fell on the lantern—which provided the only light inside the room—then on the thin walls and ceiling. The purplereiryokuengulfed the entire room, bathing the room in its light. It moved slowly, reminding him of the little waves of Lake Usori, undulating in the wind, shining as they caught the rays of sun.
Picking up his phone, Nagisa directed the camera toward Seiho and took a picture.
Seiho let out a short gasp. “You’re awake.”
“Yeah. I was testing something.” Nagisa checked the photo which was distorted with white and black spots. Frustrating, but not entirely surprising since he was still inside the castle. He looked at the time. “My clock always shows that it’s two in the morning here.”
“I don’t have means to check the time, but it’s possible it’s stuck at the moment when the lord died.”
Nagisa looked around him. “It’s 2 a.m. even in this room despite your spiritual energy covering the walls.”
Seiho nodded and rolled up the parchment, setting it aside, then stood up and joined Nagisa on the mattress. “The energy’s purpose is to offer me a sanctuary to… well… keep myself sane over the passing centuries. But it’s still part of the jikininki’s curse.”
Wrapping an arm over Seiho’s shoulders, Nagisa brought him closer and he placed his head in the crook of Nagisa’s neck. His chest puffed as he inhaled and let out a sigh.
“I’ve had moments when I just wanted to end it all,” Seiho continued. “I thought, this is it, I don’t care anymore. I’ll release the monster and whatever happens, happens. But when it came down to it, I couldn’t do it.” He straightened up and turned to fully face Nagisa. “I tried to perfect my powers, to make the barricade around the castle stronger, so humans wouldn’t get in.” He hitched a thumb over his back, pointing to the low wooden table. “But those parchments are all I have left to learn from.”
“Why? Was everything else destroyed?”
“Unfortunately, yes. Soon after I’d gone and done this I realized how unprepared I was. I made the wrong decision in a moment of despair.”
