Wesley glanced at her. “I can’t wait to fuck you again.”

CHAPTER13

Pearl had never been happier. The days passed with the men being gone all day and when they came home, they spent the evening in bed. How she couldn’t be pregnant was a mystery they had yet to learn. Her monthly flow was due just any day, and while she was excited at the thought of having their child, she also was enjoying their time together.

Just the three of them.

The only thing that could make it better was if the men told her more about themselves. Her men were not very forthcoming about their pasts. But tonight she had a plan.

Thank goodness the first week had passed and they now allowed her to wear clothes about the house. Any day now, she expected them to both claim her and she felt a little anxious about what to expect.

Today she had baked her first cake and she had a pot roast with potatoes and carrots. The table was set for dinner, and afterward, they would play her game.

A grin spread across her face as she placed the cards not far from the dinner table.

Wesley walked through the door with Anthony not far behind. “We have no choice, but to go to the buyer in Helena. We need a new bull to impregnate all those cows.”

“You don’t want to go to Helena,” Anthony said.

“Well, where else are we going to get a bull?”

There was silence as they stared at her.

Wesley came to her. “Hi, darling.”

He lifted and kissed her and then he let her slide down the front of his pants.

“Hmm…I think you’re happy to see me,” she said, breaking the kiss.

Anthony moved him out of the way and took her in his arms. “Did you have a good day, sweetheart?”

“Yes,” she said. “I baked my first cake and I think it turned out well.”

He grinned and then planted butterfly kisses all over her face and she melted in his arms.

When he released her, she sighed. “Dinner is ready. Why don’t the two of you go get washed up? I have a surprise for tonight.”

“More than cake?” Wesley asked.

“Yes,” she said. “Now, go get cleaned up.”

The two men hurried into the bedroom and took a sponge bath and changed clothes. After working with the cattle all afternoon and riding the pastures, they always washed the smell of the animals from their bodies.

When they came back into the kitchen area, she had the food on the table.

They sat, and Wesley took a deep breath. “Smells delicious. For a woman who didn’t know how to cook, you’re doing excellent.”

“Thank you,” she said.

She filled their plates and the next fifteen minutes were spent talking about their day while they ate dinner.

“Why do we need a new bull?” she asked, thinking she should learn as much as she could to be a good wife.

Wesley glanced at her and grinned. “Because if you keep having babies with the same bull, soon it weakens your herd. We need some new blood to make the bloodlines stronger.”

“Oh,” she said. “Sounds kind of like incest.”

“Exactly,” Wesley replied.
