Epilogue

Tor ranhis hands up my sides and palmed my breasts, growling in pleasure as I rode him. He always seemed to know when we needed to change up positions during our sex marathons so I didn’t get too sore and end the fun sooner than he’d like. He’d like forever. Even after four weeks of almost non-stop sex, he showed no signs of flagging interest. It only took a look from me for him to get hard. I didn’t know how the man had the stamina.

He pinched my nipple, and I clenched around him.

“Are you ready to scream, my June?”

I clenched again, harder, and ground down on him in greedy anticipation just the way he liked. He chuckled and rolled us so he was on top but then lifted me and got to his knees while I still straddled his hips. There was something about this position that hit all the right places when he thrust hard and fast. It made the orgasms explosive to the point that I passed out afterward.

But not before I screamed my release.

He grinned wickedly at me then dipped his head to suck my nipple hard into his mouth. I gripped his shoulders and held on for dear life.

Five minutes later, my scream echoed off the walls, followed by his fierce growl. Tor held me when I fell forward and continued his delicious thrusting until he was spent.

“Sleep sweet, my June,” he said, kissing my temple as I went under.

When I came to, Sam was lying next to me, reading a book.

“You need to tell him no, Sam,” I said, struggling to sit up and keep hold of the sheet Tor had used to cover me.

Sam snorted.

“He bribed me with food. Do you really think I’m going to say no to sitting next to you so you don’t wake up alone? Oh, and he told me to tell you he loves you and will lick your pussy until it weeps into his mouth.”

I made a face, and she grinned at me.

“Don’t even try to lie to me. I can hear how much you love what he does to you.”

“Has it convinced you to try a dinner date yet?”

She shrugged lightly and held up her book.

“I still like my men fictional for now. Although, I don’t think I’ll be able to hold out much longer. Emily is persistent.”

“She is. It’s her best quality.” I smoothed my hand over the sheet. “I’m awake and know I’m loved. You can go now.”

Laughing, Sam sat up and started from the room. Over the last three weeks, we’d grown pretty close. I’d be sad when some fey finally won her over, and she moved out.

Sam paused in the doorway and looked back at me.

“There’s a present in the bathroom from Tor. He wants you to put it on and come downstairs when you’re ready. I added a present, too. Have fun.” She left before I could ask questions.

Curiosity piqued, I hurried out of bed. A pretty sundress hung on the back of the bathroom door, and I smiled, already guessing what Tor was up to. He’d been talking about taking me on a dinner date for days now. I fingered the soft material, melting a little bit more for the man. He was a romantic, through and through.

I turned on the shower and spotted Sam’s gift to me. A pregnancy test. I frowned, thinking back to my last period. It had started the day after we moved into this house. They were always light and never lasted long, but I’d always been regular. Like clockwork.

Slipping into the shower, I washed between my legs and thought of how often Tor and I had had sex. My gaze slid to the test in disbelief. No…I couldn’t be pregnant that fast.

Thoughts of Adam slipped in, and I felt a sharp pang. Guilt. Hurt. Sorrow. But those quickly fled, and my eyes watered with hope. Adam would’ve wanted this for me. He knew how much I’d wanted a family. Almost as much as Tor did.

Smiling through the tears, I finished my shower, used the test, and slipped into the dress while I waited. The positive sign was almost immediate.

A baby.

Tor was going to go crazy. I couldn’t wait to tell him.

My light steps barely made a sound on the stairs. It didn’t matter, though. Tor was watching for me from his place beside the candlelit table. The moment he saw me, he got to one knee.
