The sequins on Jazz’s bodice rubbed against my bare shoulder. My stomach twisted, and not with the excitement that usually followed our brief flirtations. I immediately thought of Luca and knew I needed to shut down whatever this was.

Jazz stared at me in the mirror expectantly.

“Do you need something,Jazz?”

Her grin faltered as she stood to her impressive height. “No. Not right now.”

She left the green room, and I let out a breath of relief.

One tally in the good girlfriend column.

The show was a blast, but I couldn’t help but scan the audience for a certain Italian Stallion. It surprised me how disappointed I was not to find him in the crowd. It wasn’t like I invited him, but I’d hoped he’d surprise me.

The dressing room slowly cleared out as I changed into street clothes.

“You want to grab a drink at the bar?”

“I was planning on heading straight home, but I could hang with the girls for a bit.”

Jazz smiled and held the door for me. Squeezing past some of the other performers, we pushed our way to the bar.

Leaning down, she yelled in my ear, “I’m going to try the other side of the bar. Be right back.”

Not one second after, two large hands pulled my hips back. Craning my neck up, I was shocked to find Luca grinning down at me.“Hey, lady. Great show.”

Twisting in his grasp, I threw my arms around his neck. My lips crashed into his, claiming him in front of a packed bar. As Luca’s hands made their way to my ass, Hoots and hollers met my ears. I’d missed Luca and couldn’t have cared less that we were giving everyone ashow.

A tiny voice freaked out at how much I had missed him, but his tongue silenced it with vigorous strokes. All the stress of the past two weeks melted away.

“Got your drink, Sash.”

I spoke too soon.

Luca pulled away at Jazz’s voice, leaving me in a breathless daze. When I finally pulled myself together enough to face her, I was relieved she looked amused.

“Uh, thanks.”

As I reached for the drink, Luca pressed into my back. With my free hand, I gestured between the two. “Jazz, this is Luca. Luca, this is Jazz.”

They shook hands with me pinned in the middle. Her sweet perfume mingled with his clean cologne, and it was just plain uncomfortable. For me, at least.

Jazz’s eyes cut to me, her face twisting into a smirk. Rolling my eyes, I took a sip of my gin and tonic, focusing on it and not the two beautiful people I was sandwiched between.

Loud enough for just me to hear, she whispered, “Just some guy you fucked?”

Surprised, I inhaled with the straw in my mouth and started coughing. Luca moved to my side, his hand rubbing my back. “You okay?”

“Yeah? You okay?” Jazz sipped her drink with her hip popped out.

Glaring at her, I nodded. “Fine. Went down the wrong pipe.” Through watery eyes, I looked up at Luca. “You need a drink?”

He smiled and shook his head. “I shouldn’t. I have an early morning. I just wanted to grab a little time with you.” He leaned in and whispered, “I missed you.”

Biting my lip, I pulled away from a smiling Luca. “Jazz, I think we’re going to head out. I’ll see you at practice?”

Jazz let out a laugh as she looked back and forth between us. “Sure, I’ll let Evie know you had to leave. Have a good night.” She turned and went back to the bar with a smile.

Happy to see Jazz was fine, even a little amused at my situation, I pulled Luca through the bar, barely keeping myself from sprinting to my car.
