He fist-pumped the air. “Yes!”
“But you’ll have to wait about seven months for your payout,” I said, running my hand up and down Cassidy’s arm.
“Huh? What do you mean…” Finn’s voice trailed off as the realization hit home. “I’m going to be a brother?!”
Cassidy blinked back tears as she nodded. “You sure are, baby.”
As our audience gasped, Finn burst into tears as he flung his arms around us. “This is the best day ever.”
I kissed my wife’s forehead as I squeezed them both. “It really is.”
“You ready for the next chapter, Adam Harlow?” Cassidy asked, peering up at me with those eyes.
“With you by my side, I’m ready for anything.”
She giggled adorably. “Are you sure about that?”
“Why?”
“Because apparently…” She pushed up on her tippy toes until her lips grazed the shell of my ear. “We’re having twins.”
