“I’d like to know the same thing,” Aria said and crossed her arms.

“Trent,” Mateo yelled.

Trent walked in. “What’s going on?”

“We can’t find Angelica,” Mateo said.

A look passed between them.

“Goddammit. Tell me right now.” Duncan slammed his hand down on the desk.

“We suspect one of our guards is obsessed with her.”

“Which one?” Aria said.

“The new one, Kenneth,” Trent said.

Mateo was on the phone talking to someone about the cameras.

“Why didn’t you tell me this?” Aria asked.

“Baby, she just told me last night. We were going to try to find proof of it before we came to you. You’ve been underconsiderable stress lately, and it’s affecting your sleep, so we didn’t want you to worry if nothing was there.”

Duncan felt a feeling close to fear taking hold, an emotion he’d never dealt with before.

Mateo put down the phone. “Kenneth left about fifteen minutes ago, but they didn’t see Angelica in the car.”

“That doesn’t matter. She could have been hidden. Where is he supposed to be?” Trent asked.

“On the back grounds.”

“What did he say to get out?” Aria asked.

“That he had to go pick something up for you,” Mateo said.

“Oh, God,” Aria cried, and Trent pulled her into his arms.

“We’ll find her, pet.”

Duncan came out of his stupor and dialed his brother on his cell phone.

“This is Alastair.”

“It’s me. A guard for the Moretti family has kidnapped Angelica.”

“Fuck. What other information do you have?” Alastair asked.

Duncan heard his brother on another phone talking to Tony, their head of security, telling him everything he knew so far.

“What kind of car was he driving?”

“A new black four-door Jeep,” Mateo said.

“Have them send all the information they have on him. I’ll get back to you,” Alastair said and hung up.

“My brother has our head of security looking for her.”

Mateo nodded. “We do, too.”
