“Snydie over there got a little possessive, but don’t worry, baby girl. I’m teaching him how to share.”
Chapter Five
Shasta
For a solid week, I avoided anything physical happening with either one of them.
Share me? Over my dead body.
I was done. I couldn’t deal with the guilt that came with cheating.
Yeah, Adam deserved it. But fuck, why did I think it was a good idea to even the playing field? I wasn’t even in the same ballpark as Sabbath. Sleeping with two men at the same time should’ve made me feel invincible, but the more I dwelled on it, the worse I felt.
I didn’t love either of them, and honestly, I don’t think I ever could. Maybe it was that toxic relationship trap people get caught in that keeps me coming back for more. But my heart was intertwined with Adam’s, and it was impossible to open it up for anyone else when he consumed every part of me. All I wanted was his attention and focus to be only on me, but the more I pushed for that, the more he pulled away.
“This is soooo boring,” Clash whined as he watched my every move from across the room. “Can’t we just fuck again? That’s so much better than sitting here playingUnolike a bunch of kids.”
“She doesn’t want us to touch her again,” Snyder reminded him. The sarcasm in his voice was more than apparent, but I didn’t give a fuck.
“Oh yeah, because she feels bad,” Clash threw out, mimicking a female’s voice.
“Fuck you both.”
“That could be arranged, bab—”
“If you call me baby girl one more time, Clash, I’m going to chop your balls off.”
Snyder burst into laughter.
“Better hide the knives, Clash, otherwise she’s going to cut off your favorite appendage.”
“It’s everyone’s favorite appendage, asshole. Get it right.”
“You sure are cocky for someone who can’t win a single game ofUno.”
I snickered. That was one comeback I wasn’t expecting.
“Yeah, yeah, fuck you too.” Clash threw down the pile of cards in his hand. “I’m over this game. It’s boring.”
“It is getting rather boring,” I agreed.
“Well, let’s do something exciting then,” Clash suggested, his smile widening into a full Cheshire grin.
“Like what?” Snyder asked, laying his cards down in front of him.
“Backdoor surfing,” Clash said excitedly, throwing me a flirty wink.
It took me a few seconds to get his innuendo, and I gasped. “You will not come anywhere near my ass.”
That smile faded into a frown. “Ah, but I think it will be fun. Besides, I don’t think you want me calling Sabbath and outing what you two did, do you?”
“If I’m going down, so are you,” Snyder growled.
Clash pulled out his gun, toying with it. “You’d have to get the bullet in me first…”
“You need to learn your place, Clash. I’m not warning you again.” Snyder pulled out his own gun, showing Clash he wasn’t the least bit afraid.
“Both of you need to calm the fuck down. Just because we fucked once doesn’t mean we need to do it again.”
