“I’m glad you’re here. Tell me, are there cameras in all the rooms?”

Ryan grunts, shoving his chips aside and sucking off the cheese from his fingers.

My stomach sours at the sight.

He obviously doesn’t get many visitors. When he’s done cleaning his fingers, he nods. “Yeah. Jax had me put cameras everywhere but your office. What area are you interested in?”

“Good. Good. Would we able to look through the ones pointing at Raven’s desk?”

“Who’s Raven?” the man barks.

“This is Raven.” He motions to me. “She sits on the main floor. She’s basically facing my office.”

“Raven,” he says, tipping his chin up as though he’s the coolest guy here.

Who the hell is this man?

“Uh... yeah. Sure. Which day would you like to look through? And what time?”

Charles rattles off a day and time frame, and Ryan gets to work.

“Okay, should I just fast forward, and you can tell me when you want me to stop?”

“Yes, that’s perfect,” I say, wanting him to get on with it.

I’m dying of suspense.

“Take a seat and get comfy. It might be a while.”

It takes about thirty minutes to finally see something that makes us both scream, “Stop!”

Ryan pauses and then rewinds the tape for us. We all sit in silence as we watch the scene unfold in front of us.

And there it is, as clear as day.

Tabitha Murphy.

She came to my office and purposely upset me, hoping I’d leave. It gave her the perfect opportunity to break into my computer and forward the files.

We watch as she sits in my chair for several minutes, messing with my computer before closing it and chuckling to herself.

“Who is that?” Ryan asks.

“Someone trying to sabotage me,” Charles says through his teeth.

The anger permeates the room, settling over all of us.

Even Ryan drops his too-cool-for-school attitude and sits up straight.

“Isn’t that your ex-fiancée?” Ryan asks.

“The very one.”

“Wow, someone sure is bitter.”

I huff. That’s the understatement of the year. She’s evil incarnate, and she used me in her attempts to take him down.

I’m about to turn away and stop watching when another person appears in the footage. My eyes narrow as I try to see who it is.
