“Well, you know, here and there.” I laugh at the expression on her face. “If you must know, there’s a particular London sex dungeon I like to frequent. Sometimes with a date, other times I pay for the services of one of the submissives there.”

“Submissive.” Saoirse murmurs the word. “I’m hardly submissive, Connor. Devoted to my duty, yes. Butsubmissive—”

“See?” I shrug. “You admit it. You could never please me.”

“That’s not what I said!” The words come out seemingly before she can stop them, and she blanches, looking almost as if she wishes she could take them back. But they’re out in the open now.

“Oh?” I raise one eyebrow archly. “Prove it.”

“What?” She blinks. “Here? What do you—no! Not here. I’m not—”

“Of course not.”

She relaxes visibly as I say that, and I look down at her, my eyes twinkling mischievously.Oh, I’m going to enjoy this.“Go to the dungeon with me. Tomorrow night.”

“I can’t!”

“So you admit it.”

“No, I—” She bites her lower lip. “My father would never allow—”

I shrug. “Sneak out.”

“I—”

“Or don’t you want to please your master?” I lower my voice as I say it, smooth and silky, letting it drift over her, and I don’t miss the small shiver that ripples over her, as much as she tries to hide it.

“You’re not my master,” she says defiantly, tipping that pert little chin up. “But fine. I’ll go. Just to see what—” she waves her hand dismissively. “What all this is about.”

“Why, Saoirse O’Sullivan.” I grin down at her, unable to resist teasing her, if only a little. Even if it makes me feel very much like a teenager again, and her my little brother’s classmate. “I think you just can’t resist a dare.”
